Meet Will Gray

Will Gray is my first Triond Friend. Can you imagine how I felt after waiting a couple of weeks for comments on “What God has for you is for you”? I was elated to receive my first comment, then another.

Will Gray is a versatile writer that pulls you into his world. He acknowledges the struggles of life and the hopes of looking on the bright side of things. This man has a love for God, and is a happily married man that adores his wife. I feel that I know them through his wonderful writings. Following are just a few of his hot topics:

Never Give Up On Your Dreams

Eden 2008

Love

Nothing Remains

If I Follow You

It's a Beautiful Day

When You are Down

I believe any person reading Will Gray's writings will enjoy them as much as I have.

God's Other Mistakes: Goodbyes

I saw the mushroom clouds over D.C. today. It got me thinking. I miss you. This is pointed, not just at one person, but at the loves of my life. I know you, none of you, will ever read this, and even if you do you won't recognize my name, it's been a life time, and I doubt you even remember. We were friends once, intimate and open with each other as we could be with no other. But we allowed that to change.

Crossing the line of friendship is many times more costly that it's worth. It nears impossibility to remain friends afterward. We tried, but inevitably one of us wanted more and that put an end it it.

I guess the reality is I'm writing this to say I'm sorry and I forgive. Applying as necessary to the individual readers. If you find this, and you remember, I hope it is fondly and not with regret and scorn.

We are in dark times, perhaps even the end times, and I just needed to say good bye. Even if you'll never know.

With love and affection - Randy

The Triond Writer's Guide to Success

Source

This catalogue guide is an essential success tool every Triond writer can benefit from.

1. "How to Keep Your Articles in Constant Circulation"

As a writer for Triond, it is quite possible that you have written plenty of articles that may or may not enjoy repeated views. Oftentimes, some of your best work might not see the light of day again after its initial publishing for very simple, practical reasons such as you have a large volume of published work that is difficult for your reader to find. Check out this article to find ways to make this an obsolete obstacle.

Source

2. "How to Remain Inspired"

This was written originally in response to a fellow writer who had a concern about low earnings, a spike and then a drop in page views. This article addresses common ways to keep your views and spirits high and encourage you to continue to work hard to make all your dreams come true.

3. "How to be a Triond Super Star"

If you are like most people, you dream of excelling in the pursuits you hold dearest to your heart. This article reminds you that you can and are excelling in all that you do and that "writing fame" might be closer than you may have originally thought. Always remember:

"If you can dream it, you can do it!" - Walt Disney

4. "Make Everything You Publish Count"

As you continue to develop experience in the writing world, you will become even more adept at understanding what grabs a reader's interest, how to add the distinctive elements to your work, and ultimately reach all your dreams and goals. This article addresses how to really make each new article you publish even stronger, more impactful and valuable than ever before.

5. "My Best Article Has Received Over 76,000 Views and Counting"

Why are some of my articles more popular than others? This article explains why I believe this article has and continues to be increasingly popular and how you can enjoy the same and greater success from all your writing endeavors.

Source

6. "Triond Writers: Let's Help Each Other!"

Every writer on Triond.com has a similar goal, to create and improve their writing, have it read in published form, and continue forward with their writing dreams. So in this common dream, why don't we all take the time to help each other out?

7. Which Articles Get Read and Why

There are very practical reasons why some articles receive more views than others. Read this article to find out how to dramatically increase and receive the attention your articles deserve.

8. "What You Need to Know About Using Pictures in Your Work"

Read this article to learn about important tips, websites, and rules to ensure that the use of pictures in your work is a rewarding experience.

9. "Why Deleting Comments Does a Writer Good"

Constructive criticism is just that - it's constructive. It helps to build, not destroy or leave you feeling deflated, guilty or hurt in the process. This article reminds you to not let another's words prevent you from writing what's in your heart. As a writer you have a special gift that you are supposed to share with the world.

10. "Your Writing Success: It Will Surprise You"

Ever wonder how you're writing success is really adding up? Maybe you receive a consistent number of views per month, but how does this really stack up in the "real world" of writing?

When you change how you think, it changes your world.

Have you ever wanted to publish a book? Is that one of your greatest dreams? Have you sometimes thought it would never happen?

Then change your thinking; when you do suddenly you will be surprised to discover what you've already accomplished.

And lastly:

(Here's a great tip: Some of my best articles have been those I have written in direct response to another writer's question. When you write and truly care about your audience, your articles will automatically become hot content. So, take inventory of what people are asking most frequently, and you will be on your way to writing a new invaluable article.)

How I Made a Fortune Writing for Triond

Like you, I was skeptical in the beginning. How did I turn my brilliance, clarity, and eloquence into the massive fortune it has become? How did I, a humble writer, turn fourteen cents a day into the goose that lays those golden, over-easy eggs with hash browns and toast?

Keep reading and I will share my three, or four steps to success.

Step One (Trust Me)

I urge you to watch all of the late night paid advertising that you can stomach. It sounds crazy, but those shows contain the psychological groundwork necessary to enable you, insert your name, to sell anything to anyone by way of the written word. Think of a young musician practicing their scales on the family piano - Your adorable younger sibling perhaps bangs on the piano day and night. In their little delusional mind they are headed to rock stardom. In yours, with that incessant piano clawing out the Do, Rey, Mes - well it's enough to make you crazy. And you'd be justified in feeding the kid laxatives, but instead, you take three Valiums and mellow out. Am I right? The point is you need to learn those scales before you can play. And my friends, those movable scales are the infomercials on your tv between 2 and 4:45 am.

To prepare I recommend three large Redbulls and your favorite bag of porkrinds. You must watch them religiously with the following warning: These programs generate subliminal hypnotic vibrations to a small part of the brain that releases credit card endorphins. No one is safe. Did you know that Craigslist was founded as an outlet for infomercial purchases? Ever wonder why the infomercial channels are blocked in hospitals? They don't want the patients eating cubic zirconium and riding down the halls on John Deere weed-eaters shouting "The Russians are coming!" Don't believe me? Check out the AMA Journal article entitled "Patient Uses Free Orrick Vacuum Attachment on Hostile Doctor"

Many of you are asking the question - How long must I watch the Hot Dog Express until I have mastered the fine art of writing marketable content? Well friends, the answer varies. For a lucky few, once is enough. Many ask me how will they will know when they've soaked up enough sales vibrations to write like me? I always say it's much like swallowing a barium enema. You'll just know.

Step Two

How to be a Triond Super Star

A Single Drop of Water Starts a Never Ending Ripple Effect

I was surfing the net, curious about what other people were saying/writing about Triond.com when I came across Triond's July 2007 newsletter. In it, it states the following:

"There are many examples of such prolific writers. Here are just a few:

Kristie Leong M.D. with more than 1000 articles, and an average of 71 page views per article last month.

Louie Jerome, with more than 300 articles, and an average of 106 page views per article last month.

Liane Schmidtwith almost 450 articles, and an average of 38 page views per article last month.

Shergill, with almost 300 articles, and an average of 48 page views per article last month."

I was stunned to see my name on the list. I share this information because you truly never know who is reading your work, when others will be writing about you, and when your articles will make the top Google search engine results. So, continue to believe with all your heart, anything you imagine is possible.

“If you can dream it, you can do it!”

-Walt Disney.

I began writing for Triond about two years ago. Like most new and seasoned writers, I was looking for a place where I could write what I wanted, when I wanted, with the best income earning potential. Two years later after truly grasping the big picture and limitless possibilities, I have increasingly become a dedicated “Triond loyalist”.

In the beginning, it is true the payoff was little to nothing, but I told myself to persevere.

Why?

Because, you can reach any level of success you want, you just have to find something you love with an unwavering passion and then commit 100% to it. Once you do this, your success begins to multiply. Keep in mind, everything you have done builds from the past like the momentum of a small flame catching the wind and igniting the world. I have had articles that receive little to no views and then suddenly out of nowhere enjoy 500 views in one day! So don't give up on your work. You never know when one of your pieces will spontaneously catch a breeze and light up all that comes its way.

Along the path to Triond/Writer Super Stardom, it is important to constantly remind yourself, when creating anything of quality you must often work long hard hours in the initial stages with little to no profit.

For example, if you want to build a house you cannot even begin the construction process until you first pick a location and then create a plan. Once you have the blue prints in hand, it is at this point that you can start contemplating the building phase. Next, you must take time to purchase the material and it is during this step you will most likely try something, change your mind, change it, change it again and so forth.

And finally, once the house is completely constructed, you must decorate it, become creative and make sure you maintain it from time to time. You see, after construction and design, you will come to realize that most of the hard work is behind you and only responsible “tune-ups” are needed on a consistent, but less demanding basis. But in order to reach this level of success, you must be there consistently every step of the way to ensure your “house” is finished with quality workmanship that reflects timeless value and beauty.

Comparably, once you have created enough writing content, made each piece the highest quality work you can possibly create, you will begin to see earnings in the $100+/day level. This is attainable! This is in your future! The numbers are logical and they add up. Just keep working steadily and consistently. Breathe in reading, tips to improve your work, and keep your eyes focused on articles that most attract and capture your attention. Learn from them, learn from everything, learn from the best and make all your dreams a reality!

You already ARE a Triond/Writer Super Star - believe it with everything in your heart.

Don't be surprised when, one day, Oprah reads your articles, adds them to her new online writer of the month segment and invites you to be a guest on her live show. She does not have such a segment right now, so who knows? She might just read this article and get the idea. You never know…

Always keep in mind the possibilities are truly endless…

Writing is a Healing Process and a Special Blessing From God

Writing is a healing process; long buried experiences, witnessed scenes, controlled emotions, contained fury, unbelievable coincidences, the mysteries and the myths of life, the abundant happiness, admiration for the people and for the places, the pure joy of the life and living…

Writing is a healing process of the examination of your wounds and the process of their treatments; the wounds created by the declined culture of your society, the degradation of the world, the unhealthy politics of your country and the unbelievable selfishness of some people.

Writing is a gift from the God: some people are gifted with speech and some are gifted with making handicrafts. Some others are gifted with cooking, gardening and disciplined home making tasks. Some people are gifted with multi-tasking wonderfully well and some others are gifted with abundance of everything. The special people in the world are gifted with writing!

Writing is a window to your heart! Writing displays the love and the emotions from your heart. It also displays your long accumulated experiences, the witnessed details, the courage against the fear and the prejudices, the “no matter what” persistent attitudes and the “one step at a time” reasoning…the writing is the window to your heart!

Writing helps you to become the Master of the Universe! You can create a person and can create his people and their circumstances. You may want him to be happy or sad, go through love and life or go through hell and hectic days! You become the king, queen and the emperor of the fate of the people created by you! That's a huge responsibility, in the spectacular way!

The writing can make an angel out of you; you may share the wonderful details of the nature, the people and can show a way of leading an abundant life of love, joy, bliss, tolerance and kindness! Then again, you may write details about the dark side of the brain, on the evil and the bad ways of living and the “life sucks” details…You are the master of the universe created by you on your note pad…

The writing is an amazing form of relaxation that cleanses your heart and your soul and makes you to feel free out of the bounds of this world! When you write, you are nowhere near to where you are living in the physical sense of living! You can fly away to the world created by you for your heroes: You may go with them to their work place, take a scroll with them when they do so, may attend to their dinner party and may provide a shoulder to them when they break down and cry their heart out…

The writing is a form of healing and of relaxation, a gift from the God and a talent to be cherished and thanked for all through your life and living!

Writers, Do Not Limit Yourself!

When you are writing, do not limit yourself.

Search your mind for every possible thought everything can inspire you if you allow it to. You have the power to create anything you allow yourself to. There are worlds of infinite beauty within your mind. It is up to you to take the time to pull those worlds out of your dreams and imagination and put them to paper.

Take time in nature to allow you to be inspired.

I once was sitting at a stoplight in traffic and it seemed like an ordinary day, but then suddenly I looked up and saw a flock of birds flying overhead. At first nothing seemed too extraordinary in their flight and then I noticed something profound. They were forming hearts and stars in the sky! It took me a moment to fully grasp what I was seeing with my own two eyes! I looked around at the other drivers in their cars wanting to catch their attention to point out the miracle I was seeing. No one seemed to be paying attention.

In my heart, I know that more of these miraculous moments are in store for me in life. I know that the more we keep our hearts and minds open to such miraculous moments of inspiration, the more we will be inspired to continue to create beautiful written pieces.

You will never run out of amazingly beautiful inspiring words, stories, and creations. You just have to let your creative juices flow naturally. You have to continue to be honest to who you are and continue to share your heart with the world. People respond to genuine, honest, heartfelt words and beauty. People want to be inspired. People want to feel as good as they can possibly feel.

As a writer, you will touch millions and millions of lives.

Triond Writers: Let's Help Each Other

I would like to propose an idea that will hopefully catch on quickly!

Every writer on Triond.com has a similar goal, to create and improve their writing, have it read in published form, and continue forward with their writing dreams. So in this common dream, why don't we all take the time to help each other out? We are all, after all, intrinsically connected and we all can learn from one another. The more we read and learn from others the sharper our writing skills become and the more great writing ideas we will generate. It is a circular, win-win cycle.

So, let's all try to read at least one other writer's article a day and leave a positive and constructive comment. This is simple to do and it can make a great difference in everyone's overall income as well as improving everyone's writing skills. It only takes a few minutes, but it can and will help propel us all forward toward making all our dreams and hopes come true.

I have to say that I was inspired with this idea by Lucy Lockett. Please check out her articles at socyberty.com.

She is kind soul and one of the writers on this site who has read many of my articles and has generously left a great number of comments. It is to her that I would like to dedicate this idea and article to. Her comments as well as those left by others, like lizzie2uk, have helped me further believe in my writing talents and that I can truly make all my dreams a reality.

We are meant to help one another through life. It is so true, the more you help others, the more you help yourself and the more energy you have to help more people! We are all connected, we all want the best for each other. I truly believe this with all my heart. I believe that people only do harm to others because people can only treat others as well as they can treat themselves.

The more we lift one another up, the less pain we all suffer. When you help a stranger by a simple gesture, for example, reading his or her article, you indirectly help the world because maybe that stranger feels happier and can be kinder to the checker at the grocery store who is, your husband, wife, mother, father, grandmother…you get the picture.

Be well, live, love and be happy. Best wishes to all.

How to Get Published

First things first, if you have always thought about writing, but have not yet put pen to paper you are not alone. Maybe fear has held you back; the thought of putting your words into the public can seem frightening. You might wonder what others might think of your writing. You wonder is it good enough? You want your work to be compared to F. Scott Fitzgerald's or Shakespeare's. You have a vision in your mind of being one of the greatest writers to have ever lived.

Do not give up on your visions, whatever they are. Hold tight to them and believe in them with everything in your heart.

Next, take the steps to make sure you achieve them.

I started out being very afraid to share my writing with the world. Without realizing it, I began taking steps toward my goals. I started by publishing some work on a writing site that did not pay any monetary residual, but allowed other writing peers in the field to read and rate my work. At the time, that in and of itself felt frightening, but I did it anyway.

That site is called
WritersCafe.org
and it is growing steadily in popularity. It is a free service and anyone can sign up to be a member. As a member, you can create your own profile and start uploading all the writing pieces you want to. You can publish poetry, short stories, longer stories, and even articles on the site. It is a great networking site as well. In addition, any piece of work that you publish will automatically be given a copyrighted date, which will help to protect your material.

WritersCafe.org also has different forums that you can post general questions to. In one such forum I had the great honor (I say honor because it was the opportunity to work with other aspiring artists who just might end up being the next J.K. Rowling among us) of playing a poem game that greatly helped my creative skills. It was a game in which we set a particular structure to how a poem could be made.

For example, the first line had to have four syllables, the second six, and so on. I was surprised at how unlike my initial thoughts, structure actually enhanced my creative abilities rather than stifle them. WritersCafe.org also allows writers to participate in small contests that award monetary prizes as well as opportunities to become published in their anthologies.

Starting with WritersCafe.org helped me receive helpful feedback from my fellow peers that was much needed. Some of the members are published authors, newspaper journalists, etc. people who are making a living off their writing and they were reading my work and saying it was good! This helped give me the confidence to know that others would and will read my work and that I can become a better writer everyday, just as you can too.
