<p>I am new to Triond and I am intrigued by some of the writers on this site.&amp;nbsp; I am a published author of 3 books.&amp;nbsp; It has been a struggle for me to say the least. Writing a book is great fun but I am not well trained in the areas of marketing.&amp;nbsp; My great love and need to write has left me discouraged often. I was hanging on by a thread, wondering if writing was just not in God&amp;rsquo;s plan for my life.</p>
<p>Then one day while surfing the web I came across an article by Liane Schmidt titled<a href="http://www.socyberty.com/Lifestyle-Choices/The-Inspiring-Independent-Artist.134489" target="_blank"> Inspiring Independent Artists</a>. Liane&amp;rsquo;s words were honest and a powerful source of encouragement.&amp;nbsp; They sunk into me like I was a dried out wilderness that just found some water. I realized after reading her article that I lost my love for writing because somewhere along the way I had a very harsh thought about my fellow writers. I am very ashamed about even writing it but I believe understanding the blocks we face in life helps us to also remove them. Here is my harsh thought- I had the perception that other writers were my competition. I was wrong my true heart loves to encourage others. If we have encouraged someone before we all know it feels great to cheer someone even if it is something so simple. We create a big ripple when we choose lift the spirit of another.</p>
<p>I knew I needed to join Triond. I have learned so much in such a short time and have found the young excited writer still is within me. Since joining Triond I have read other articles sharing advice and encouragement to fellow writers. &amp;nbsp; It is great to experience. I want to thank Triond and all you writers out there like Liane Schmidt. You have returned me to my passion and given me a sense of safety.</p>
<p>&amp;nbsp;I have fought the small yet sometimes great loud thunderous voice inside me for years that shouted &amp;ldquo; You are no good at this&amp;rdquo; &amp;ldquo;Who are you kidding you would make more money collecting quarters than writing&amp;rdquo;</p>
<p>Thanks to all you here at Triond that inspire others to continue on the path of their dreams. You have my attention and recognition. I will always seek to remember the best part of anyone&amp;rsquo;s dream coming true is in sharing it!</p>
<p>My dream is to write and it&amp;rsquo;s amazing to realize I am living my dream even as I write this article.</p>
<p>If you are feeling discouraged I encourage you to go read the article titled <a href="http://www.socyberty.com/Lifestyle-Choices/The-Inspiring-Independent-Artist.134489" target="_blank">The Inspiring Independent Artist</a>. It is a great ripple of Hope!</p>
<p>God Bless, All the best and Great Thanks!</p><a href="http://www.pheedo.com/click.phdo?x=&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.writinghood.com%2FOnline-Writing%2FThank-You-Triond-Writers-Who-Inspire-Hope.433801"><img src="http://www.pheedo.com/img.phdo?x=&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.writinghood.com%2FOnline-Writing%2FThank-You-Triond-Writers-Who-Inspire-Hope.433801" border="0"/></a>]]></description>

<link>http://www.writinghood.com/Online-Writing/Jupiter-Kings-Annual-News-Letter-2009.433783</link>
<description>
<![CDATA[<p>In all my years as a poet and journalist, I have had many great adventures. I have met great people, had many lively discussions, and expanded my writing considerably. I am thankful to all who have made it another great year and I hope you and yours are having an exceptionally wonderful new year.</p>

<title>Proverbs for the Successful Writing Business on Triond</title>
<link>http://www.writinghood.com/Online-Writing/Proverbs-for-the-Successful-Writing-Business-on-Triond.410607</link>
<description>
<![CDATA[<p>A friend of mine from <a href="http://www.triond.com" target="_blank">Triond </a>community had sent me a message that he was organizing a boycott to Triond and he would be leaving Triond for good.&amp;nbsp; He is now writing for the Triond's competitor.&amp;nbsp; I would admit that his message got my interest and I also experience some mixed emotions.</p>
<p>I started writing for Triond last August 2008 due to the invitation of my dear friend Eddie Go.&amp;nbsp; I had visualized that this invitation is an opportunity for me to go forward and to execute what is in my vision, which is to become a writer.</p>
<p>When I was in high school at Philippine Cultural High School, I joined Tanglaw, our school's publication, as a Feature writer.&amp;nbsp; Two of my articles are published and the rest are declined by the editor in chief and adviser.&amp;nbsp; Therefore, I decided to quit.&amp;nbsp; That is my big mistake on my forte but I never stop learning.&amp;nbsp; During the First Year&amp;nbsp;High until now, I read variety of self-help books and magazines,&amp;nbsp; I focused my attention on the lessons during English class. Even though in college, I really appreciate much these lessons such as Grammar and Literature.&amp;nbsp; I really believe that I gained skills that equips me to become a good composer of essays and prose.</p>
<p>My passion in writing grew when I was in college.&amp;nbsp; I used to create my personal newsletters and sent&amp;nbsp;them abroad to my dearest Aunt Irene in Washington D.C.&amp;nbsp; She really appreciates them.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Sometimes I gave some to my friends at school.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; When I was in elementary school, I used to dream to become like Elizabeth Wakefield, one of the main character of the famous novel of Francine Pascal Sweet Valley.&amp;nbsp; My frustrations to become like Elizabeth Wakefield was pursue through creating my own personal newsletter and joining Tanglaw.</p>
<p>My college classmate encouraged me to contribute articles on the online magazine, Tinig.com. Then, I contributed voluntarily articles to Tinig.com.&amp;nbsp; After I graduated from college, a friend of mine encouraged me to contribute articles to Tsinoy.com.&amp;nbsp; Then, I am one of the regulars who contributed voluntarily some articles for Tsinoy.com, an e-zine for Filipino-Chinese community.&amp;nbsp; I am very happy when I see my writings are published even though I am not paid by these two organizations.&amp;nbsp; I found that writing is a good therapy for me to overcome my anxiety and depression.&amp;nbsp; When I heard about Triond.com from one of my friends Eddie Go, I quickly grab this opportunity.&amp;nbsp; My starting salary is $0.01.</p>
<p>I see my online viewers continue growing.&amp;nbsp; My earning also continue to grow little by little.&amp;nbsp; I also wanted to earn more to provide financially to my family.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; At first, I get frustrated because I have a very little income from Triond.&amp;nbsp; But, I studied the market.&amp;nbsp; I learned their needs and wants.&amp;nbsp; Therefore, I have to adjust and be opened to some changes.&amp;nbsp; I changed my profile skin and description to make it a little bit interesting. I added some articles that I am surely that they would gained numbers of interests from the viewers.&amp;nbsp; I gained a good result due to the adaptation to changes.&amp;nbsp; Being an entrepreneur to my forte, I have to become patient.</p>
<p>I could not say that I reached the level of the Hot Users of Triond because I am still starting to explore and struggling with obstacles.&amp;nbsp; To keep myself going, I meditate on the proverbs of the 5 Taipans of the Philippine business industry.&amp;nbsp; They are not writers like us but I am sure that they are great achievers like the Hot Users of Triond.</p>
<p>Therefore, I would share to your these proverbs so you will keep inspired.</p>
<p>"Success is not necessarily about connections, cutting corners, or chamba (chance) - the three C's of bad business.&amp;nbsp; Call it trite, but believe me: success can be achieved through hardwork, frugality, integrity, responsiveness to change, and most of all, boldness to dream.&amp;nbsp; These have never been easy slogans for me.&amp;nbsp; I have lived by them." says John Gokongwei Jr., JG Summit Holdings Inc.</p>
<p>"There is no such thing as overnight success or easy money.&amp;nbsp; If you fail, do not be discouraged; try again.&amp;nbsp; When you do well, do not change your ways.&amp;nbsp; Success is not just good luck; it is a combination of hardwork, good credit standing, opportunity, readiness and timing.&amp;nbsp; Success will not last if you do not take care of it." says Henry Sy Sr., SM Investment Corp.</p>
<p>"Entrepreneurs should never give up due to failure.&amp;nbsp; Not just entrepreneurs but people of whatever profession - all of us - should learn from our setbacks.&amp;nbsp; We should never surrender to despair." says Lucio Tan, Fortune Tobacco International Corp.</p>
<p>"Doing&amp;nbsp; business is all about providing a good product or service to your customers.&amp;nbsp; A good businessman is he who knows that what is successful today may not be so successful tomorrow.&amp;nbsp; Techonology changes so fast, and so&amp;nbsp; do people's needs and wants.&amp;nbsp; That is why it would do well for a businessman to know how to adapt to change. He must constantly reinvent the business or it would not last." Andrew Tan, Megaworld.</p>
<p>"An entrepreneur must follow his gut feel only after he has carefully weighed the pros and cons of any situation.&amp;nbsp; If you do what you believe in, you can never go wrong.&amp;nbsp; And, know what you can do or cannot do because it is in know your limits that you can determine the kind of risks you can take. Doing business is never easy.&amp;nbsp; When starting, try to be hands-on in everything.&amp;nbsp; The real test of an entrepreneur is how far he can go when the tides of business turn for worse.&amp;nbsp; It is in times like these when he should be unafraid. Be aggressive. Know your market's needs and serve them." says Ben Chan, Bench.</p>
<p>Additional, there is also a Chinese Proverb.&amp;nbsp; It says, "Small wealth&amp;nbsp; is man-made, but great wealth is a blessing from the heavens."</p><a href="http://www.pheedo.com/click.phdo?x=&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.writinghood.com%2FOnline-Writing%2FProverbs-for-the-Successful-Writing-Business-on-Triond.410607"><img src="http://www.pheedo.com/img.phdo?x=&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.writinghood.com%2FOnline-Writing%2FProverbs-for-the-Successful-Writing-Business-on-Triond.410607" border="0"/></a>]]></description>

<title>Want Money? Want Fame? Sell Yourself</title>
<link>http://www.writinghood.com/Writing-Business/Want-Money-Want-Fame-Sell-Yourself.406693</link>
<description>
<![CDATA[<p>&amp;nbsp; You may disagree and ask how can your love be sold? Easily you see, so many hard working or not so hard working people place all types of things in front of you and after they figure out what you want or need they begin the process of possession. Even your body may not be sold for cold hard cash but only the na&amp;iuml;ve give themselves away for free. Now days while everything is expensive and people are conservative with their money their choices are sold to the cheapest products so they can make room for any small and rare luxurious items that glisten in their eyes.</p>
<p>What happened to the good old days when an artist was just an artist? When did they become salesmen? Now I'm not saying that artist did not need the necessities of life or that they did not want to become famous but art of any kind was once a passion. It was done because they were inspired. They did it to make people feel anything at all. Art in any form is meant to be shared; it is our immortality to our short years. Yet, we find ourselves being forced to appeal to the masses; in other words we are being forced to sell out.</p>
<p>If we want to earn a living off what we do I understand that we must sell out to some degree but really now is it necessary to go from Michelangelo, Leonardo De Vinci, Edgar Allen Poe, and Mary Shelley to Marilyn Manson selling his paintings for thousands of dollars because he is who he is, those Happy Bunny posters, and thousands of diet books telling men/women the quickest way to become thin? There is even worse out there, we all know that. I know that not all art forms out in our world today are bad but I refuse to believe that those people who got to their high point just picked up a pen and said, &amp;ldquo;I will write this and make myself rich.&amp;rdquo; They worked hard to be who they are even if it is their first novel, painting, sculpture to become famous and pay off&amp;hellip; It would be na&amp;iuml;ve to think that it was the first time they wrote, painted or sculpted. I also do not believe that those who in my opinion sold out are not true artists; I just think they took the easy way out. If you are naturally one of those people who move a long with the trends and face it in some way or another we all do, then good for you. Keep doing what you are doing.</p>
<p>I am not pretending that I am a great writer and I know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and to each his own but do we really have to lose our identity just to make a couple or thousands of bucks? I've read many writers here an on other websites who have real talent and I see how much they put themselves into their work and I see how their work changes to mold into what is appealing and virtually meaningless because it's what everyone else is doing. It makes me sad. I know that it can be completely frustrating to want to share your thoughts, ideas, and just who you are with other people. I also know how it feels to just want to make someone smile and laugh; feel pain, or realize that they are not the only one who feels as they do. It really sucks when you are being yourself and no wants to see you. But I also refuse to become one of those people who yell, &amp;ldquo;I learned how to get more views! This is what really sells!&amp;rdquo;</p>
<p>I will get off my soapbox now and stop preaching to you all. I do want to say one last thing: Remember that even though we live in a fast paced world filled with all 7 deadly sins; losing who you are just to be famous or make a couple bucks is a high price to pay when all is said and done.</p><a href="http://www.pheedo.com/click.phdo?x=&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.writinghood.com%2FWriting-Business%2FWant-Money-Want-Fame-Sell-Yourself.406693"><img src="http://www.pheedo.com/img.phdo?x=&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.writinghood.com%2FWriting-Business%2FWant-Money-Want-Fame-Sell-Yourself.406693" border="0"/></a>]]></description>

<p>Ever wonder how you're writing success is really adding up? Maybe you receive a consistent number of views per month, but how does this really stack up in the "real world" of writing?</p>
<p>When you change how you think, it changes your world.</p>
<p>Have you ever wanted to publish a book? Is that one of your greatest dreams? Have you sometimes thought it would never happen?</p>
<p>Then change your thinking; when you do suddenly you will be surprised to discover what you've already accomplished.</p>
<p>And lastly:</p>
<p>(Here's a great tip: Some of my best articles have been those I have written in direct response to another writer's question. When you write and truly care about your audience, your articles will automatically become hot content. So, take inventory of what people are asking most frequently, and you will be on your way to writing a new invaluable article.)</p><a href="http://www.pheedo.com/click.phdo?x=&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.writinghood.com%2FOnline-Writing%2FThe-Triond-Writers-Guide-to-Success.401941"><img src="http://www.pheedo.com/img.phdo?x=&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.writinghood.com%2FOnline-Writing%2FThe-Triond-Writers-Guide-to-Success.401941" border="0"/></a>]]></description>

<title>A Guide to 30-Day Novel Writing 5</title>
<link>http://www.writinghood.com/Style/How-To/A-Guide-to-30-Day-Novel-Writing-5.324413</link>
<description>
<![CDATA[<p>You might think that the biggest difficulty in finishing your 30 day novel will be hitting the 50,000 words but actually the trouble is more likely to be running out of story before you run out of words or running out of words and month before you run out of story.</p>
<h3>Too Much Novel<br /></h3>
<p>With a week or so to go if your story is on an epic scale and you didnt take my advice to increase your daily word target then you could be in a lot of trouble.&amp;nbsp; There are two routes you can take.&amp;nbsp; Either you skim over some of the scenes between where you are and your ending or you spend next month writing too.</p>
<p>If you are going to skim then don't try to skip the scenes all together. It's better to simply sketch them in.&amp;nbsp; Come up with a rough description of the sequence of events along with any details that spring to mind.&amp;nbsp; Try not to get too caught up in the story.&amp;nbsp; Remember that you can write yourself notes in the text and these will count towards your total.&amp;nbsp; Your job is to race to the finish&amp;nbsp; You are trying to reach those precious words 'the end' before the end of the month.&amp;nbsp; If you make it with time to spare then you can always go back and embellish those scenes that you skimmed over earlier.</p>
<p>If you are going to continue in to the next month (which I don't recommend) then you need to conserve your strength. Not for you the terrified sprint for the finish line.&amp;nbsp; Unlike the others you can't simply collapse into the arms of your support team because you are going to continue to try the patience of your support team by writing into next month.</p>
<p>I don't recommend this course of action because it's hard enough to maintain the momentum for one month, let alone two and if you are writing in November then this means trying to concentrate on your Novel through Christmas and the New Year.</p>
<p>Of course there's always the opposite problem...</p>
<h3>Too Little Novel</h3>
<p>If you run out of story with 10,000 or more words to go then you need to stop and think.&amp;nbsp; If you are less than 10,000 words short then you probably only need to go back and stick in some extra dialog and description and perhaps a couple of extra scenes.&amp;nbsp; If you are more than 10,000 short then you need to ask yourself if you've missed vital parts out or if what you have written is a short novel or novella?</p>
<p>There's nothing wrong with a short novel.&amp;nbsp; Animal Farm is only 25,000 words, just half the target for NaNoWriMo, but it's still great book.&amp;nbsp; If you do have a short Novel then I suggest you use the rest of he month to start something new.&amp;nbsp; You already have momentum.&amp;nbsp; You are in the writing groove and you may as well go for it.&amp;nbsp; I suggest that if you do write something else that it's something linked to what you've just finished.&amp;nbsp; That way you can make use of the work you've already done</p>
<h3>After the Ball is Over</h3>
<p>If you've reached your target then you are bound to be feeling at least a little euphoric and when you are feeling euphoric you are bound to make poor decisions.&amp;nbsp; So please promise me now that you will not make any hasty decisions about your novel.&amp;nbsp;</p>
<p>Please don't delete the thing, no matter how bad you think it is, there is bound to be something worthwhile. And please, I beg you, stand up right now and swear on your honor as a writer that you will not simply print the thing off and send it to an Agent or Publisher.</p>
<p>What you have is a first draft.&amp;nbsp; In common with all first drafts some parts of it will suck and some will be pretty cool.&amp;nbsp; It's not ready for other people yet.&amp;nbsp; It's not even ready for you yet.&amp;nbsp; So put it away for a couple of months and then look at it.&amp;nbsp; Once you've had a couple of months away from it you'll be able to be bit more objective.&amp;nbsp; Then begins the long task of editing the thing. Which will probably take about a year.&amp;nbsp; Or tere's always <a href="http://www.nanoedmo.net/xoops2/" target="_blank">NaNoEdMo</a>, 50 hours of editing in 30 days.&amp;nbsp; But that's a tale for another day.</p><a href="http://www.pheedo.com/click.phdo?x=&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.writinghood.com%2FStyle%2FHow-To%2FA-Guide-to-30-Day-Novel-Writing-5.324413"><img src="http://www.pheedo.com/img.phdo?x=&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.writinghood.com%2FStyle%2FHow-To%2FA-Guide-to-30-Day-Novel-Writing-5.324413" border="0"/></a>]]></description>

<title>11 Ways to Keep You Inspired to Write</title>
<link>http://www.writinghood.com/Writing/11-Ways-to-Keep-You-Inspired-to-Write.321181</link>
<description>
<![CDATA[<p>Writers usually need an inspiration to be able to create a piece. There is nothing wrong with that. But if you are the type who must be fully inspired before you can pen something, then you need to ensure that you are always inspired so that you can continue writing anytime, anywhere, and at any cost.</p>
<p>Lots of writers derive inspiration from different things. A flash of idea can usually be pursued to come up with a literary piece; or a picture may draw one&amp;rsquo;s poetic inclination out. Whatever your sources of inspiration are or your ways of inspiring yourself, it is always great to learn something new everyday especially if we wish to be prolific and effective like our favorite writers.</p>
<p>Here are a few ways that are found by many writers to be very inspirational when they seem to fall short on inspiration for their writing endeavors.</p>
<h3><strong>Constantly affirm your love for writing </strong></h3>
<p>Constant affirmation of your passion for writing can rekindle your interest in it and keep it aflame. It serves to fuel your drive to continue writing against all odds.</p>
<h3><strong>Reading your works that you are most proud of</strong></h3>
<p>When you feel a little disheartened because your articles seem to be falling short in page views, or you may feel bad over some negative comments, encourage yourself by reading your pieces that you consider to be among your best works.</p>
<p>A little boosting of your pride can do a lot for your declining self-confidence. So go ahead and read those articles which you are so proud of or those that have been performing well in terms of&amp;nbsp;page views or comments.</p>
<h3><strong>Read testimonies of successful writers</strong></h3>
<p>Successful writers did not gain their reputation overnight. While there may be cases when a writer&amp;rsquo;s fame is shaped by his very first publication, you would always find out that it is not his first attempt at aiming for popularity.</p>
<h3><strong>Explore other types of writing which you may not have done before</strong></h3>
<p>To keep your passion for writing burning, try to create pieces pertaining to other genres or niches which you have not tried writing on before. If you have not penned a creative piece, perhaps now is the perfect time to do so.</p>
<h3><strong>Look for a comfortable place that you find conducive for writing</strong></h3>
<p>There are people who have no problem concentrating and writing amidst a crowded place. But if you are the type who cannot concentrate when there is so much noise around, try to look for a quiet place when you need to write. Some writers feel inspired to write in an open but quiet place, while others prefer the solitude of their own room.&amp;nbsp; Whatever place you find comfortable and conducive to get your writer&amp;rsquo;s mind to work, try to spend most of your writing time there.</p>
<h3><strong>Allot a regular time everyday to write even just a few lines</strong></h3>
<p>If, at any time, you have no problem cooking up ideas for your next write-up; or that you are inspired to write everyday then you may not need to devote a specific time to pen something. But if writing urges or inspirations come once in a blue moon, then you have to set a regular writing workout schedule to adhere to if you want to keep your passion for writing on fire.</p>
<h3><strong>Read newspapers and magazines </strong></h3>
<p>A perfect way to keep your love for writing alive is to read, read and read. To better encourage you to write, read anything about the things you yourself would want to write. If you are fond of poetry, read different forms of poetry. If you want to write about medical conditions, read health-related articles. Just know what you want to write about, explore it, and read about it.</p>
<h3><strong>Browse through old photo albums, scrapbooks, and journals</strong></h3>
<p>Old album photos&amp;nbsp;or scrapbook and journal&amp;nbsp;entries trigger old memories that can spark ideas for your next write-up. If you are a little discouraged about writing, your creative blog-like entries in your journals and scrapbooks can remind you of your flair&amp;nbsp;for writing and your passion for it.</p>
<h3><strong>Watch television or go to a movie</strong></h3>
<p>Good movies and television shows are great sources of inspiration. So when you feel a little discouraged&amp;nbsp;with your writing endeavors believing that you are not going any&amp;nbsp;nearer to your desired goals, don't fret. Take time&amp;nbsp;off from writing and&amp;nbsp;enjoy a movie or two;&amp;nbsp;or&amp;nbsp;simply watch your favorite TV shows. If writing is indeed your passion, you&amp;nbsp;will always get back to it - with&amp;nbsp;zest and interest more than ever. &amp;nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>Play with words in your mind</strong></h3>
<p>I love this mental exercise so much. You could weave a few poetic lines, or perhaps come up with titles of articles or poems you'd like to compose next. The idea is just to pump up your interest and zeal for writing by working up your mind with some creativity in terms of literary composition.</p>
<h3><strong>Listen to music</strong></h3>
<p>They say music is the language of the soul. It can express what words cannot. So to keep the flame for writing burning inside you,&amp;nbsp;delight in&amp;nbsp;the uplifting power of music. Go for your favorite type of music or for those which you find relaxing, inspiring, encouraging or pleasing.&amp;nbsp;Listening to the lyrics of your favorite songs can rekindle&amp;nbsp;your&amp;nbsp;poetic inclinations. &amp;nbsp;</p>

<title>How to Link Articles: Including Some HTML Basics</title>
<link>http://www.writinghood.com/Online-Writing/How-to-Link-Articles-Including-Some-HTML-Basics.308659</link>
<description>
<![CDATA[<h3>Luckily, it's a simple process!</h3>
<p><img src="http://images.stanzapub.com/readers/2008/10/21/0_51.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/robyn-gallagher/338240235/" target="_blank">Image Source</a></p>
<p><a href="../../../" target="_blank">Triond </a>makes adding links to your articles a simple process. All you need to do is repeat the following structure:</p>
<p>Article name (followed by the) http article address</p>
<p>And, wah lah! - You're done.</p>
<p>Just as you add links for the pictures in your articles, follow the same pattern for links to your articles.</p>
<h3>Can you place links anywhere in your article?</h3>
<p><img src="http://images.stanzapub.com/readers/2008/10/21/1_8.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/jefield/1119389/" target="_blank">Image Source<br /></a></p>
<p>Yes, sometimes it's a good idea to place relevant links within your article. Just follow the directions above and add them to any place in the body of your work.</p>
<p>Sometimes it's best to add links within the context of your writing, while other times it's a good idea to entertain your readers with great work and then leave them with direct ways to find more of your work. If they love one of your articles, they are sure to love your other articles as well. Make it easy for them to find more of your work that is subject matter specific.</p>
<p>In addition, sometimes it's a good idea to add links that have nothing to do with the subject of your article, especially with some of your more innovative, unique pieces. This can entice and intrigue the reader and make them need to read on. Use your best judgment, ingenuity, and gifts to fullest extent! The world and everyone in it will only be better as a result.</p>
<h3>My article has been published, but the link has not been properly formatted.</h3>
<p><img src="http://images.stanzapub.com/readers/2008/10/21/2_5.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/plindberg/2872583288/" target="_blank">Image Source<br /></a></p>
<p>I have found this to be the case sometimes. I realize that the Triond staff is very busy and sometimes they can make a mistake here and there. I know I've made more mistakes than I care to recount. So, I have found that if I simply add a note at the top of the Word document that I submit for publishing that gives instructions to make all the links like they do for the picture source links, I am quite pleased with the results.</p>
<p>When you write any note to Triond editors, I find it's best to make sure to add that the note needs to be taken out of the article, just to be on the safe side. I have worked as an editor before, and it is not an easy job. I commend them for all the amazing work they are able to produce on our behalf. It is quite extraordinary when you think about it. New writers sign up for this site everyday and yet, somehow, they continue to be able to publish our work within 24 hours. They are a blessing to all of us.</p>
<h3>Do you have a blog?</h3>
<p><img src="http://images.stanzapub.com/readers/2008/10/21/11_2.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/liewcf/971674606/" target="_blank">Image Source<br /></a></p>
<p>If you have a blog and want to create a link, then you need to know a little HTML.</p>
<p>When it comes to computers and technology, I must admit, I am typically all thumbs, but through trial and error, I was able to successfully figure it out that HTML is truly like any other language, once you learn a few things you start to realize that when codes are placed in a specific order (like letters in the alphabet), you can create many intriguing things!</p>
<p>So, if you want to link your articles to your blog format and/or posts, all you need to do is the following:</p>
<p>(PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO THE FACT THAT TRIOND'S PUBLISHING FEATURE RE-FORMATS THE FORMAT BELOW I HAD TO ADD A SPACE BETWEEN THE "&amp;lt;" SYMBOL THE FORMAT.&amp;nbsp; PLEASE USE THE FORMULAS BELOW, BUT TAKE THE SPACES OUT.)</p>
<p>&amp;lt; a href="<a href="&amp;lt;a href=" target="_blank">www.YourHTTPArticleAddress.com</a>" &amp;gt;Your Article Name&amp;lt; /a &amp;gt;</p>
<p>The first part of the formula above within the &amp;ldquo;&amp;lt; &amp;gt;&amp;rdquo; symbols is the destination and the second part is what shows up on your article as the link to click on.</p>
<p>Thus, the link would look like this:</p>
<p>Your Article Name</p>
<h4>And, in closing, here are a few more HTML coding tips that make a difference in your work:</h4>
<p>Add spacing to your work.</p>
<p>Place <br />after the coding sentence above and you will add a space.</p>
<p><br />&amp;lt; br / &amp;gt;= space.</p>
<p>Do you want to bold or italicize something in your work?</p>
<p><strong>&amp;lt; b &amp;gt; <strong>= bold<br /></strong></strong>&amp;lt; b / &amp;gt; = end bold</p>
<p>&amp;lt; i &amp;gt; = italicize</p>
<p>&amp;lt; /i &amp;gt; = end italicizing</p>

<title>Why Deleting Comments Does a Writer Good</title>
<link>http://www.writinghood.com/Writing/Why-Deleting-Comments-Does-a-Writer-Good.302919</link>
<description>
<![CDATA[<p><img src="http://images.stanzapub.com/readers/2008/10/18/0_24.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/geishaboy500/541493823/" target="_blank">Source&amp;nbsp;</a><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/geishaboy500/541493823/" target="_blank"></a></p>
<p>I have written over a thousand freelance articles during the past two years.&amp;nbsp; These articles have ranged in subject matter from poetry to health to motivational and inspirational in nature.&amp;nbsp; They have come from my heart and with time, I'd like to think that the quality and content has improved and only gotten better.&amp;nbsp;</p>
<p>Within this time, the vast majority of comments I have received (especially from <a href="../../../" target="_blank">Triond</a> members) have been supportive, uplifting and a godsend truly beyond what words of gratitude could ever fully express.&amp;nbsp; But,&amp;nbsp;on the rarest of occasions I do happen to receive some not so pleasant comments.</p>
<p>I know many new and seasoned writers have experienced similar unwelcome comments and I write this article mainly for them; as support and a reminder that this world would&amp;nbsp;not be as limitlessly beautiful if these unpleasant, momentary nuisances deterred them from pursuing their writing dreams.&amp;nbsp; I write this to say to my beloved, fellow writers, please keep writing; hold fast to your dreams - the world needs the&amp;nbsp;endless pure light that shines brilliantly from your heart illuminating even the darkest night that attempts to extinguish it.</p>
<p>So, onward we go:</p>
<p>When you take the time to sit back and reflect, you begin to see things with greater clarity. You are able to suddenly realize the&amp;nbsp;toughest of critics&amp;nbsp;are merely trying to frighten and make you question the true intention of your work - and I implore you all, do not let them.&amp;nbsp; As artists, creators and inventors of new visions and ideas, you are leading the world toward greater things, away from boredom, away from a static existence, and, ironically, closer toward the fulfillment of their dreams.&amp;nbsp; The fear and emotional upset critics are placing on you is actually a reflection of what holds them back from pursuing the beautiful passion found within&amp;nbsp;every heart when the spirit is calm and peace allows it to flow naturally.</p>
<p>Trust with everything in your heart that despite human err or unkind critique, the good, uplifting message in your heart will always transcend any potential obstacle.&amp;nbsp;</p>
<p><img src="http://images.stanzapub.com/readers/2008/10/18/1_3.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/nirak/2854421030/" target="_blank">Source</a>&amp;nbsp;</p>
<h3>So, Why Does Deleting Comments Do a Writer Good?</h3>
<p>I'm a voracious reader.&amp;nbsp; I enjoy delving into&amp;nbsp;new concepts and ideas that help me reach all my dreams and goals.&amp;nbsp; Many of the books I read explain that you must focus on the best things in life, people who only support your dreams, and positive energy, etc.&amp;nbsp; What you think about most, manifests in your life and reality.&amp;nbsp; If you focus on the positive, more will develop in your life; if you focus on the negative, logically, the opposite is true as well.</p>
<p>Said another way, everything is important, from what you listen to, to whom you surround yourself with, to what you decide to eat during the day.&amp;nbsp;</p>
<p>Now, metaphorically, take a moment to reflect upon the comparison below:</p>
<p>Most people have encountered an uncomfortable food situation like the following: Someone you know tells you that you&amp;nbsp;should eat something they made.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; The food item&amp;nbsp;is fried,&amp;nbsp;unhealthy&amp;nbsp;and&amp;nbsp;upon offering&amp;nbsp;it to you, they explain that it&amp;nbsp;would hurt their feelings&amp;nbsp;if you do not eat it.&amp;nbsp; This does not mean that you have to eat it.&amp;nbsp; If it&amp;nbsp;is not good for you, if it will knock you off your&amp;nbsp;healthy lifestyle goals, and if it will make you feel guilty in the process,&amp;nbsp;there is absolutely all the logic in the world to not only eliminate that influence,&amp;nbsp;but to block&amp;nbsp;it from being able to enter your world at&amp;nbsp;all.&amp;nbsp;</p>
<p>You have a duty and right to protect yourself&amp;nbsp;from&amp;nbsp;any person who offers you something that is not good for your health!&amp;nbsp; Yes, this is contrary to much that our society supports.&amp;nbsp; Be polite; do not hurt another person's feelings, etc. However, I'm a big believer in "out of the box" thinking.&amp;nbsp; Furthermore, based off statistics, about 85% of the population is overweight.&amp;nbsp; Are you going to listen to the people who remain overweight or your own intuition, the voice from your spirit that loves you the most?</p>
<h3>Comparably Words are Literally "Food for Thought"</h3>
<p>If a reader does not like your work, that's completely fine; to each their own.&amp;nbsp; This is what makes life interesting, if we all liked the same things, our world would be a very different place.&amp;nbsp; But, if you do not like the comment, if it makes you feel bad, deleting comments is perfectly fine, logical and success reinforcing.</p>
<h3>Regarding the Critics</h3>
<h4>In my opinion, constructive criticism is just that - it's constructive. <br /></h4>
<p>Constructive means it helps build, not destroy or leave you feeling deflated, guilty or hurt in the process.&amp;nbsp; When you build something, like a house for example, you might constructively say to the architect: "You know that window would be better over here where the sun rises&amp;nbsp;because it&amp;nbsp;will help keep the heating bills down."&amp;nbsp; This comment does not discount the architect's original idea it simply suggests a new idea (building off yours) that could greatly improve your life!&amp;nbsp;</p>
<p>When reader's leave comments like this, then you have the decision to either "move the window" or keep it where you originally placed it because maybe you liked the window where it was.&amp;nbsp; Maybe it was an artistic, sentimental, or just your own personal prerogative reason.&amp;nbsp; You see, this is the power and freedom of art and creating.&amp;nbsp; It is a reflection of the heart and no two hearts are or will ever be&amp;nbsp;the same.&amp;nbsp; When we are able to universally realize this, we can then accept and develop a greater appreciation for the fact that there truly is no right or wrong way to express the heart (except of course, if it is with the purposeful intent to harm another person, which is not art).&amp;nbsp;</p>
<p><img src="http://images.stanzapub.com/readers/2008/10/18/2_2.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/michellebascom/2767088696/" target="_blank">Source&amp;nbsp;</a><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/michellebascom/2767088696/" target="_blank"></a></p>
<p>True artists understand that their work is meant to teach and inspire others&amp;nbsp;about how infinitely precious life is and in turn each and every person. Again, your purpose is to lift others up and show them that they too can reach their dreams. You cannot do this if they are able to successfully pull you down to their level.&amp;nbsp;</p>
<p>In the end, no matter how much we try to interpret another's art, we will never fully know what the artist's vision was.&amp;nbsp; Again, the greatest purpose of art is to help us understand our own hearts and how we can find common ties that link us all together universally.&amp;nbsp; The greatest lesson we learn in the process is that everything we see in our world is actually a reflection of who we are.&amp;nbsp; You can only see in others what you see in yourself. So, ironically, the critics are actually&amp;nbsp;revealing their flaws,&amp;nbsp;insecurities, etc to you.&amp;nbsp; Given that fact, you can either focus on them or just let them fade softly away like you do worries and instead let confidence and strength guide your path to success.</p>
<p>So, do yourself a favor, delete comments if they make you feel bad in any way.&amp;nbsp; It's like opting for an "apple a day" over food that's not good for you.&amp;nbsp; It does a writer good.</p>
<p>You have the power to make all your decisions; choose the very best ones for you and the betterment of mankind.</p>
<p>Remember writing takes exceptional courage. When you write from the heart, it is an exhilarating and sometimes terrifying feeling. You are basically saying to the world, this is me take it or leave it. It is also widely known that public speaking is one of the greatest fears in society, sometimes rated higher than death. Writing is a form of public speaking. And, in the end, this is why I decided to publish this article. It is my way of standing up for my fellow writers and me. Never let anyone frighten you and make you think your dreams are unattainable. Never!</p>

<title>How to Remain Inspired</title>
<link>http://www.writinghood.com/Online-Writing/How-to-Remain-Inspired.301781</link>
<description>
<![CDATA[<h3>My response follows:</h3>
<p><img src="http://images.stanzapub.com/readers/2008/10/18/0_3.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/drnewton/517371624/" target="_blank">Image Source<br /></a></p>
<p>I understand your concerns. While this is not always the case for those magical articles that end up with consistent and growing views, sometimes when you have a really great article, it can become popular very quickly and then fade into the background again just as suddenly. This can be explained by a wide number of reasons, such as its initial high visibility (i.e., in the "Hot Content" list, on the top article page on Quazen, or AuthSpot, etc.) and or subject matter trend, thus, branding it inherently short lived. So, understandably, as this particular type of article's "new-ness" wears off, so too do its views.</p>
<h3>But there is a remedy to this seemingly unsolvable problem.</h3>
<p><img src="http://images.stanzapub.com/readers/2008/10/18/1_1.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ellasdad/457521627/sizes/m/" target="_blank">Image Source<br /></a></p>
<p>As I have stated in past articles, linking past articles to new articles is a sure cure to this predicament. It is an extraordinarily effective way to keep all your work in "fresh circulation" and readily accessible to your readers. In addition, the more links an article has, the higher Google ranks your work in its search engine results (I read this somewhere and it makes logical sense).</p>
<h3>Expecting higher earnings per page views?</h3>
<p><img src="http://images.stanzapub.com/readers/2008/10/18/2_1.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/roland/100853718/" target="_blank">Image Source<br /></a></p>
<p>With regard to earnings, I have read somewhere that this varies based on the ads on your article, the website it is published to, etc. Again, this makes logical sense. And from observation, I have noticed that my articles published on Healthmad.com tend to earn more money per view than those that are published on AuthSpot.com.</p>
<p>Stated in the following article:</p>
<p><a href="http://www.socyberty.com/Lifestyle-Choices/Rome-Wasnt-Built-Overnight.38330" target="_blank">Rome Was Not Built Overnight</a></p>
<p><img src="http://images.stanzapub.com/readers/2008/10/18/3_6.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/jason-riedy/2605699662/" target="_blank">Image Source<br /></a></p>
<p>It is, thus, important to keep in mind that Triond is by no means an overnight oasis, (although it could be if you end up with some incredible titles and or produce many articles at once). Instead, if you see it for what it most realistically is, a means to achieve residual income for life and that by producing enough quality material, the numbers alone (i.e. number of articles published, with links, etc) will produce the results you aspire to reach, you will be able to remain focused with a clear understanding of your progress that supports your dreams and keeps your spirits high.</p>
<p>The following article reminds you to always remember to:</p>
<p><a href="http://www.socyberty.com/Lifestyle-Choices/Dream-Big-Dream-Wide-Its-Never-Too-Late.291527" target="_blank">Dream Big, Dream Wide, It's Never Too Late</a></p>
<p><img src="http://images.stanzapub.com/readers/2008/10/18/4_1.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/4yas/2110952454/" target="_blank">Image Source<br /></a></p>
<p>I once spoke to a billionaire who began his journey to success with only a $1,000 investment. Twenty years later, through steadfast resolve, his vision was materialized in wealth beyond his dreams. If he can do it, so can you! Despite what anyone says, especially yourself (in those moments of self-questioning), you can achieve any level of success you dream of, just believe with everything in your heart that you have no limitations in life and then, take the time to truly understand the reality of the field you have targeted. With these elements in mind, your growing success is unstoppable!</p>
