Being either a part-time or a full-time writer is a blessed job. Its status can be as equal as a teacher. As a writer, you become an excellent educator to educate people with your moral rich contents; a brilliant doctor to help others to stay healthy; an extraordinary beautician to teach people to look beauty and young; a great scientist to provide people with latest inventions; a great poet to craft the nature into a great masterpiece; a fantastic religion practitioner to sing the greatness of the existence of the God and etc. In conclusion, as a writer, you’re playing many roles with your diverse knowledge and wisdoms.

Do you consider yourself as a writer? If I write words by words, do I characterize as a writer? Yep, you’re a writer. You don’t have to spend much time writing a 15cm-thick novel and get it sold for million copies to get yourself qualified as a writer. If you’re writing for your hobby, or you just want to play around the words, do you still consider as a writer? It won’t inspire you to spend more than 10 hours to write in a day, but my dear friend, you’re still considered as a writer. That means you don’t have to write 14 articles every 20 minutes. You just sit there and put your words, phrases and sentences in your mind to express what’s within you to get yourself a full membership of a writer.

You may have read my previous article on how to become the most successful writer here. Here, I share with you the conditions you need to become the most convincing writer in the writing world to help you gain recognition from the readers. I hope these useful tips will help you to become a brilliant star in your writing career. Cheers!

Building Your Brand Name

For a writer, your article or manuscript is a product. To market your product to a large group of clients, you must first build up your brand name. Simply put, it’s impossible to get recognized for one new brand name in the mind of readers. It needs some time to develop. You may need one year, two years or may be more to make your name standing out among so many brand names in a competitive marketplace.

Your brand name should be rooted to high-quality, unique, innovative, stylist or trendy, wide range of choices, reliably, eco-friendly, and first-to-market. Once you’ve yourself rooted in these criteria, your brand name will be established for a long haul.

People tend to buy their familiar products. They like good, reliable, well known and great brands. So, it’s very natural for them to stick to their familiar brand names. In my case, if I change my name CHAN LEE PENG to Momochan, there’ll be fewer readers and may be none will read my work. This is because they don’t know who this Momochan is. Royal readers read your work because they know you, or when they curious on someone who has climbed to the top of the writing world. In other words, your brand name is successfully built up via a channel of internet, blog, forum, web site and discussion board. Read the tips here to help you building your brand name.

A powerful brand name has the ability to cut-through the competitiveness of the writing markets, and it’s also able to retain the best readers in its way that delivers superior results in both short and long-term. In a nutshell, brand name is a tactical way to unearth the distinction in all your writing materials. A writer that fails to brand itself and its writing is destined to be shoveled in with all the other writing materials available to readers in today’s competitive marketplace.

Be a Good Speaker

Don’t expect everyone to understand you. Put yourself in your client’s shoes. Think of their needs, their expectations, their questions and their contexts. Then start thinking how you could best cater your points to them. Your delivered points must be something memorable, simpler and clearer. Try map out your idea into a picture, so that you can clarify your own idea. From here, you’ll have to decide what content you want to communicate with your reader, what’s the style of your message, how are you going to deliver your message to your reader, what verbal cue will you use to deliver your message, and finally what visual cue will you use to enhance your presentation.

Write Regularly and Constantly

Get yourself sit down and start to write at least 4 articles a month. It won’t take you long as you just have to spend about a couple of times a month.

Provide Good Quality Content

Some titles are really eye catchy and thus they’ve been put to the top of search engine. Since the content is low in quality, they might have spammed by the readers in the social networking (such as Stumbleupon, Digg, Technorati and Reddit). Due to this reason, they’ve been pulled down and no longer will they be seen on the search engine ranking. It’s not advisable to trick people with eye catchy title but low in quality content as the readers will soon come to judge whose work is worth reading and whose is not.

Don’t Submit Junk!

No matter what writing platform are you in, remember not to submit junk. If you provide inaccurate, over-wording, and redundant articles, you’ll give a very bad impression to your readers. And in most cases, your articles will be thumb-down instead of being thumbed up.

Be a Silent Supporter

If you think the article is good, regardless whether it is written by a new writer or a seasoned writer, give them your support by submitting their articles to other sites. They may not know you who did this on their behalf, but this doesn’t matter. You’re doing this good deed to help them to grow as a successful writer in the future. When you keep on doing this, over the time, your wisdom will grow.

Don’t Leave a Negative or a Nasty Comment

No one prefers to hear bad words. Beware of your words as they might hurt other people’s feelings. So, when you leave comments to your friend’s works, make sure that they’re supportive, and positive. If you’d like to point out the writer’s error, try to mail them personally so that they won’t feel embarrassing in front of the public.

Be United, We’re Strong!

As one of the writers in the writing world, you should unite with other writers. One stick can be broken easily, but a bundle of sticks cannot be broken easily. If we writers unite heart to heart, we can be a strong team to face a challenging world.

Praise for the Best, Comfort for the Failure!

When someone’s content is gaining popularity, you should praise them. In contrast, when someone’s work is rejected, try to comfort them to help restore their confidence to write.

Never Curse Each Other!

No matter whether you’re writing for Triond, eHow, Hubpages, Bukisa, Associated content or any other writing platforms, you’re a respectable writer. Try not to differentiate each other. You should regard them as one big family to exchange idea, thought and writing experience. By doing so, you’re helping yourself to learn from a diverse group of writers from the world. It’s very important not to jealous the successful writer, but you should see this is a great opportunity for you to learn from them.

Never Discriminate Each Other!

It’s always a mistake when one discriminates each other. Some will only read articles written by native speakers but they ignore the existence of other non-native speakers who can write a pretty well article. Even their flow of sentences may not be as natural as the native speaker they may have some extraordinary ideas to deliver. I salute to these types of writers as they’ve courage to write in language other than their mother tongue. Furthermore, it’s not an easy job to write in languages that are totally different from one’s native language since it’s not talked, heard or written so often as in the environment of the native speaker. So, please give them your thorough support!

Be Considerate and Caring

As a writer, you should pay attention to what is happening around you. From as small as a germ to as big as a whale, it can be a good source for you to write.

Writers are All Equal

In the writing world, all writers are equal. We’re not divided into “superior” and “inferior”, we are all equal. So, don’t look down upon the new writer! It’s an important note to acknowledge that you don’t belong to “Republican” or “Democratic”, but you’re “NGO”. Think that, you’re a respectable writer who exists here to help each other to grow for the betterment of tomorrow.

Appreciate the Power of Your Words

While getting excited with new inventions of the latest gadgets and devices, do you know that the power of words can be as huge as one atomic bomb? Your words influence one’s mind, your voices touch one’s heart, your thoughts purify one’s mind, your ideas inspire one’s life, and your suggestions improve one’s lifestyle. That means your articles can be more inspiring and valuable than all the powerful gadgets, and luxurious products money could buy.

I’m confident that you’ve fulfilled the criteria described above, without really concerning much. You’re now the most convincing and successful writer! Congratulation! Now, start appreciating yourself as an honorable writer and go write! Welcome to the writing world!

Before ending this article, let’s pray for lesser sufferings and agonies; world peace; better economic growth; lesser natural disasters like tsunami, earthquake, volcanic eruptions and other calamities; and lesser diseases. In contrary, let’s pray for more wisdom, intelligence, health, and wealth.

Lastly, I wish you all good luck in writing. Happy writing and happy publishing!

Growing Your Triond Community Grows Your Earnings

One of the most important aspects of Triond aside from writing quality content is to build a community. You ask why this is important? Well anytime someone adds me as a friend I add them as well. Each time that person publishes something new I visit it and read it! I have noticed others do the same to the point where no matter what I publish I get 10-15 views just from my Triond friends!

Now you are thinking, how do I get Triond friends and a lot of them? I did not know how important it was until after I had published a large amount of articles. In retrospect I would have spent my first week or so on Triond with only 5 or so articles! I would have spent my time getting to know other users and reading popular content for ideas on which were the best to write and which attracted the most friends! While doing this I would have made friends with any author I noticed doing well or even just trying hard! I would comment on their posts and end them a message to get to know them! This will ensure you both enjoy reading the work of the other and you will help each other achieve success by building views and comments on each others work! Imagine if in one week you made 100 solid friends on Triond, if you publish an article you will be guaranteed 100 views! I personally think that is worth it! You can also go to your "fans" page and view all your fans, send them each a message and become their friend as well! This will make everyone happy as they now get to talk to you and you will read each others work! As you get more friends you will notice it gets easier and easier to make more and more friends on Triond! I have not encountered a mean person on Triond yet. Well aside from C. Jordan! (just joking your awesome!) So don't be afraid to make friends!

I would like to end this post with my personal assurance that if you help others they will help you! Build a base of friends and support each other in your efforts! Comment on the work of others! Don't be afraid to "like" someone else's article because it will make more competition! Write as best you can and you will have success! That is a promise! I will also ask you to personally add me as your friend and I will add you as well and I will help you in any way I can! Let's get your friends list growing!

Tips for New Users on Triond

First off I would like to thank anyone who takes the time to read this and welcome any newcomers and I hope you are able to find this helpful in some way. So here are my top 4 tips ...

Treat This Like a Small Business

What I mean by this is, what's the number one thing for a small business? That's right, location, location, location. Well here on Triond the motto is post, post, post, whether it be your writings pictures or a combination of these or other things, don't lose hope and keep posting.

Do Your Research

Find out what earns you the most, and write about it. There are several ways to do this, look at the hot topics, or read some of the hot posts and see how it is done.

Have Fun

Write about whatever brings you joy, you don't always have to write about the hot topic, write about what you know, it just comes easier to you and you'll be happier.

Be Realistic

Sorry, but chances are you won't be quitting your day time job so you can write for Triond. In fact, most likely for the first few months you might just be making some spare change to throw into the wishing fountain as you walk through the mall.
I hope that at least one person has found this helpful and good luck to everyone!

Making Money with Triond: How to Increase Your Earnings

Writing for Triond can be an entertaining pastime or you can harness the power of the Internet and use targeting writing to boost your monthly income. For many people, making money with Triond is a way to bridge the gap between traditional employment income and the reality of a difficult economy. How much money can you make publishing with Triond? I was curious myself just a few months ago. Maybe you are too!

My Experiment

When I first signed up for Triond, I wasn't quite sure what to think about the income-sharing structure. I wasn't sure it would amount to much, but I decided to find out how I could make it work and to see if I really could use this to off-set the funds that lack in my grad-student budget. I started a blog to track my results. I started writing about anything I knew about, the topics I had experience with and the issues that meant something to me. Pretty soon I began getting more and more views. Keeping track of my daily earnings helped keep me focused on my experiment and goal: To earn $1/day publishing with Triond.

Write Write Write

Some days I write more than others. Some days I don't have the energy. Then I look at some of the other Top Ten writers and they do write in fits and spurts. At first I imagined writing one article a day. After about three days, I realized that was overly ambitious and was completely unrealistic. I don't have that type of schedule. So, I gave up on setting production goals and have only written when I've had the time and energy.

Making the Top 10

This was really a thrilling day. I logged on to see how my articles were doing and my dashboard showed that one article, Seven Easy Ways to Improve Your Vocabulary Without Even Trying, receiving hundreds of views. Those numbers quickly moved into thousands and then another thousand. It was quite fun to check and see how many hits the article received. It was even quite hilarious to read through all the comments whether the writers loved or hated the article. Like it or not, you have to get into the Top Ten before making any big jumps in income on Triond. I'm still not at my goal of $1/day publishing with Triond, but I'm certainly much closer after having done so.

Stick with Whatever Works

Yes, I know. Many content writers are signed up with several other sites like Helium or Associated Content, etc., but I made the decision early on (like the first day) that I didn't have the time nor the energy for that. Triond seemed to be the easiest to work with, I get to choose my own topics and by setting up my account to pay me through PayPal, I get to write and earn not mess with a lot of paperwork or advertisers.

Find your niche

I'm still working on this one, but for the most part, my areas of interest are the home setting (notice, I don't call it "housekeeping" since that sounds like you're managing a lot of clutter and you must know how I hate clutter!), budgeting, real estate, higher education and other financial matters. I've written a few child-related articles since I am raising an exceptional five year old and that is quite an experience. He is brilliant and has taught me volumes about how children can learn and develop.

Keep plugging away

If you're just feeling out Triond and content writing, stick with it for several months to a year and see how it goes. But keep working at it seriously and maybe you too could make this work a legitimate income booster for your monthly budget. I know I am optimistic that with continued effort, I too will be using Triond to fund the purchase of my next real estate

So You Think You Want to Get Into Publishing? Think Again

You hear the mail arrive through the door so you hurl yourself down the stairs, flinging your nine-year-old dog over the banister when she dares to get in the way of your frenzied dash, ignoring her yelps as she slams into the back of the couch... You sift through bills and pizza menus, when all of a sudden you see what you've been waiting for. You rip open the envelope and - lo and behold - you've been offered that publishing job you've always dreamed of. The letter heartily congratulates you on being the successful candidate and warmly welcomes you into the fold with more compliments and superlatives than you could shake a stick (or your now badly limping dog) at. However, before you excitedly write an equally gushing acceptance letter, you might want to read on to find out why this ‘dream' editorial job might not be so desirable after all...

When I left university five years ago, I was absolutely convinced that it was the publishing world to which I wanted to devote my future. It all seemed so glamorous, and yet I'd still be doing something mentally stimulating. I'd be being paid to work with words, while also enjoying fantastic perks like glitzy launch parties, which would inevitably lead to me meeting and befriending many celebrities; we'd all hang out in trendy London bars, wearing new slinky dresses every night, sipping Chablis between perfectly glossed, plumped-up lips, and taking slow, sophisticated drags on reassuringly expensive Davidoff cigarettes. How wrong could I be?

The reality jarred heavily against the backdrop of my idealized expectations. The parties were few and far between (three in as many years), and I was so busy struggling to meet constant deadlines that I barely had time to brush my hair each morning, let alone gloss and plump up my lips... My days were predominantly occupied by laborious fact-checking and changing the occasional comma to a semi-colon, more often than not only to change it back again two minutes later. I loved the subject area of the work, but the endless list of arbitrary rules and stylistic restrictions managed to squeeze all of the joy out of it. I resented having to get up for work each and every morning, dreading the day ahead, filled as it would inevitably be with the non-stop editing of shoddily constructed essays and proofreading a wide range of error-littered manuscripts, supposedly drafted by the country's leading academics.

Not wanting to admit defeat, I stuck it out in the job for three long years, all the time desperately trying to convince myself that things would improve and that, sooner or later, I'd rediscover my love of the written word. It never happened. I got more and more bogged down in the pedantic nit-picking, and knew that if I didn't resign my frustration with the job would end up permanently ruining my thirst for literature.

So I quit. I took some time out, before deciding to give freelancing writing a go. I earn a lot less money than I used to, but have not for one second regretted my choice. Sure, I'd love to make more money and to have the security of a steady flow of work, but of far more importance to me is the fact that I have finally regained the love of language that I'd first developed in early childhood but that three years in a publishing environment had all but beaten out of me.

If your heart is set on entering this profession, I wouldn't ever want to steamroll you into changing your mind, but I would strongly urge you to question, and I mean REALLY question, whether it is the right choice for you. So many people I know in publishing entered it for the same shallow, misguided reasons that I did; almost all of these people have, like me, ended up deeply unhappy in their ‘dream' job.

On this occasion, at least, it's time to stop dreaming and start doing some thinking.

How to Write a Resume

So you want to know how to write a resume, do you? Maybe you are a recent graduate and are just beginning your job search with diploma in hand. Perhaps you already have a job and think you may want to switch careers or companies some time down the road. Even if you already have a job, it is always a good idea to have a current resume in case you decide you want to change jobs or find yourself downsized. But learning how to write a resume can be one of the most important skills you can acquire in the business world.

Start by gathering together all the information you will need to construct the resume. This is the first step in knowing how to write a resume. When you have all of the information close at hand, the writing process will be much easier. You will need to know the names of the last three places you have worked at along with their address and telephone numbers. Take a moment and jot down the dates you worked there, your job title, and your job duties.

When learning how to write a resume, you also need to have your education information. It depends on where you are in life as to what you include here. Most people just include high school and any college. You'll need the dates and any diplomas received as well as areas of study and any awards received like honors. Include the name of the school as well as the address.

The sections of your resume should include: job experience, educational experience, skills, awards and achievements, and references. If you are a member of an organization or club, have a separate section for that as well. You can choose to include other sections when learning how to write a resume, but these are the basic ones that most people use. In the “references” section, you should just have a sentence that says “References are available upon request.” However, if the ad for the job you are applying for asks you to include references then change the sentence to “References are attached” and include a separate reference sheet.

When learning how to write a resume, it is important that you be very professional and use positive words. Your resume is what a prospective employer will see first, so you want to make a good first impression! Look online for web sites that teach you how to write a resume too. Then put together a resume you can be proud of and go out there and get that job!

Essaywriters.net: A Review

With the tough economic times we are facing now money can be a problem. Many people want to get a second job to help pay for things like gas, and food. If you look online many sites offer chance to get some money, most of these are just get rich quick schemes but some of them are legitimate. You are probably familiar with Associated Content and that you can get paid for writing on that site.

One site that I would not recommend to anyone to use their services or to write for is Essay Writers. My experience with them has only been negative and I would think that yours would be too.

One of the first things I disliked about them is that they took so long to reply I think it was a matter of months before I had been approved. You send them a resume with writing samples and you wait for along time for approval to join the site. I had forgotten about the site by the time they send me an e-mail letting me know how to sign-in and get started.

If you are just looking for additional writing work or just some part time side work to do from home then the fact that it will take a few months to hear back from the site is not a big problem. But don't worry things don't get any better.

They check your first article to make sure it is any good, which is understandable, but if my writing is no good why did they make me apply and send samples already? As for the selection of papers the prices you get paid for are not anything like they initially tell you to sign up. You are better off writing what you want for associated content then getting paid less for the same or even harder work for them.

So what prices can you expect to get paid for your work? Well it seems about $4 page is common. The lowest I have seen is $3 a page that you could write a paper college paper for other sites and get more for easily. I would think that the average per page is actually about $6. The site promises as much as $16 a page and I have yet to see such high prices per page. The largest I have seen is $12 a page, but here is the problem with the few high priced pieces, there are few of them, they are typically for PhD level articles, and they are last minute assignments that are nearly impossible to finish in time.

Obviously the site isn't as great as it sounds. But there is more, you are limited to 3 articles at a time. If you have pick three that are do in 6 days you can't pick another until you get one done. Three articles in 6 days is not much at all and since all writers should be professionals with experience we should know how to manage our time.

I had a couple of articles that I picked up with 6 days to complete, with two days left I had not been the site in a day or two over the weekend. Early in the morning (they must be East Coast based and not care I am west coast based) I get a call from them about how I have not signed on and it is required if you have an assignment to sign in every 24 hours. Well now I know but do they have to call you and wake you up? Again I am a professional I have done newspaper work you want deadlines work for a newspaper. I got the articles done early as I like to do anyway but it was annoying they have to make me sign on during the weekend and when I don't they have to call me and wake me up, it would maybe be understandable if I was late on an assignment or something but with plenty of time left it was a bit ridiculous.

Finally they take long to pay. I guess they are not the worst but not great either. I will admit I have had worse experiences professionally writing but they are not high on my list of places I would work for again. If you want to you can apply for a job but I would not recommend it.

Life as a Freelance Writer

At the age of forty-six I made a life changing decision. I decided that I needed to make sure that I spent the rest of my life doing something that I wanted to do. Some major traumas had happened in my personal life and put together with the mid-life crisis I was probably suffering, I felt that I needed to change.

It is an old adage that "we"re only here once, it's not a dress rehearsal,' but it started to ring very true for me. What do I enjoy doing most, and what would make me most happy? The answer was easy. Writing. I had always written for enjoyment, and had written stories for my kids when they were young. It had never crossed my mind to try to do it professionally.

So here I am. Forty-six years old and embarking on a new career. I have given up a well paid job and have given myself twelve months to make a success of my writing. It is exciting, daunting, and enjoyable. I am writing short stories and articles. I am running a blog and applying for freelance work left right and centre.

I'm making a few dollars here and there, and I'm feeling the most positive about the future that I've ever felt.

Whatever happens with my writing career, whether I succeed or fail, I know that this is the best thing I have ever done. I would recommend trying to do what you know you've always wanted to do to anyone. Just give it a go. If I have to get a job stacking shelves in a supermarket in twelve months time then so be it. I'll have no regrets.

So how have I fared so far? Well, I write for a couple of article websites and make a few cents. People leave comments on your work and it is fair to say that not everyone enjoys it! You need to be thick skinned as people don't hold back. One reader left a message on an article I had written intending it to be humorous, simply saying, “You're not clever, and you're not funny.” Hurtful!

I write a soccer blog which is getting over a hundred hits a day now which I am very pleased with after only three or four weeks. The revenue from advertising on that site is small but will grow if I can increase my readership.

I am submitting ideas for articles to magazines and taking a creative writing distance learning course. Don't expect editors to be quick with their replies!

I write for two or three other Soccer websites, and whilst this doesn't raise any money, my hope is that it raises my profile.

I don't expect to get rich, but if I can make a reasonably comfortable living doing what I love to do, I will be so much happier that earning a lot in a job I didn't enjoy.

So that's where I am. I've had several short stories rejected by magazines, and several article ideas that just haven't even solicited a response. I don't get down hearted because rejection is a fact of life for any writer. It makes every small success so much better.

Writing gives a sense of freedom, and it is impossible to put a value on that.

I will keep trying, keep hoping, but most of all, keep enjoying. Whatever happens, I've made a very sound decision.

Do Online Freelance Writing Jobs Really Exist?

I asked myself this very same question about four weeks ago, when I decided it was time to try and increase the amount of money I was earning from my freelance writing.

Since the internet exploded and brought us millions of websites that are crying out for content, we've seen an explosion in markets for the freelance writer to target. Many writers who used to write regularly for magazines (myself included) re-branded themselves as online web content writers, and started sourcing work online instead.

But where do you actually find this work? Is it really out there?

I can confirm that it is.

After three weeks of my search for online freelance writing jobs (spending every evening trawling job boards, Craigslist and writers' newsletters too numerous to mention) I have succeeded in getting two long term writing gigs, both of which are offering more work than I could handle, if I could fit it all in.

I've also found a third job which should provide at least one batch of articles to write each week, and I've made another contact who is providing me with short keyword articles to write - sometimes a batch, sometimes just the one.

And that's after just three weeks. I've actually made the decision not to bid on or apply for any more jobs at the moment, because the writing jobs I have are keeping me more than busy.

I never thought I'd be in a position to say that. The work I have is writing short articles, and web pages for all kinds of sites. The subjects are diverse and I could never get bored.

So what's my best advice on how to bag an online freelance writing job (or four)?

Persevere. Find as many job boards, newsletters, job listings and sites as you can, and check them all on a daily basis. Daily. That's important. You want to be the first to jump on an opportunity when it comes along.

If you really put the effort in, you'll find work in no time. Just make sure you don't get swamped!

Good luck.
