Top Five Ways to Make a Popular and Profitable Web Article

5) Use a Top List

People now-a-day have way better things to do than read real essay. Just dumb it down for the common folk. Apparently it works I don't read any Cracked.com article that isn't a top ten list.

4) Use Irrelevant Images

Always a good thing to do make sure that the common reader can look at the funny pictures rather than the words.

3) Don't use to many words.

They are only going to read the headlines and the first few sentences anyways. And you don't want it to end up like a web comic.

2) Use “Hot” Topics

You need something that everyone is going to be interested in. Something that everyone loves like fat cats or the election. Or sex any top ten list with sex in the subtitle will be sure to get many a view.

1) Use a Profitable Topic

Make a topic that will make people click on the ads, a article on your favorite TV show may get a lot of views but will most likely not make much money. But remember if you want it interesting and funny its almost impossible to have a real money maker. Also you need to be a good writer. So I think that this article may make about two cents if I am lucky!

Triond Etiquette: What’s Your Purpose of Being Here?

I’m back for another refreshing and idealistic view of the recent growing trends with the Triond community. As you all know, I love to stir the pot and I do it well. My opinions are not to be taken as an offense but, a starting point or even an ending point of why you choose to write on Triond.

The Growing Trends

I’d like everyone to take a moment and count the amount of friends you have in your friends sections, now I would like you to count how many of those friends actually read your work.

If you have a ratio of 10:120 then I’m sure you have the same types of concerns as many of the other writers. However, it has come to my attention that many writers are leaving due to the lack of page views that they personally say was by no fault of their own.

Did they make the most of the platform that was presented to them? And if they did, did they personally market themselves outside of the realm of possibilities?

It may be time to update your friend’s area and start making it a bit easier to keep up with your most loyal readers in the community section. The answer I use is “delete, delete, delete” for the ones that have fallen off the radar or just don’t take the time to read others pieces.

Lets Link to Each Other: The Wrong way to do it

There are so many ways to grow your content besides the use of social bookmarking. Personally, I love linking to material that is both interesting and of course pertinent to my own.

It’s always nice to hyperlink one of your articles to a previous user or an older article with the same type or related content. Remember that linking to an article that has little to do with the article you are writing is a dreadful way to get more views.

If you look at the analytics of Google, when your page is indexed by search engines and the links are basically useless, the search engines see no reason to rank or crawl your pages.

Lets Link to Each Other: The Right Way

Recently, some of my best buddies on Triond and I started linking to each other based on our content.

Anytime Chris Stonecipher has a recipe or article that pertains to my material, he links it and I do the same for him in return. As far as I have seen, I have received more views and so has he.

Rummage through the lists of articles written by your Triond friends and see if you can’t do the same.

Do you want your voice Heard?

As writers, our main purpose is to educate and entertain however; my point goes back to the present state of Triond. Are you trying to be recognized for your writing talents or the ability to write as many top 10 lists submitted in a day?

For the past month, I have stumbled upon some really amazing talents on Triond and my opinion is that their gifts are not being appreciated as they should be.

For that purpose, I set up a Blog called Friends Revolution to showcase the amazing talents of some of the best writers on Triond that may not be getting the recognition that they deserve.

A perfect example of one of these writers is Lost in Arizona who wrote a piece on the most memorable pictures taken of all time. How does this differ from the typical top ten lists you ask?

If you actually take the time to read the content instead of skimming over the pictures and leaving simple comments like “good post” or “good read”, you would realize that the emotional word painting conveyed in this article brought me to tears.

This was my exact comment at the time and my most honest opinion:

“All of these pictures really brought tears to my eyes. I was so enthralled with the photos and text that the music playing on my computer disappeared. I think this is one of your best and should be number one on the Hot List!”

Top Ten Writers Who Haven’t been Realized, Yet!

I have come to the realization that the best writers on Triond pay homage to other great writers and this is what I am trying to do.

I have chosen some writers on the basis of what they are exactly trying to convey with their pieces and should be receive more recognition:

James DeVere
Enzo Silvestri
Bruce A Tucker
Chris Stonecipher
Papaleng
Robert Brian Garza
John Turner
Countrymom
Marjoram1234
Virginia Morgan

If you have any further questions for me or you would like to check out Friends Revolution, a blog that showcases some really wonderful talents on Triond and the online community feel free to shoot me a line.

Regards and Blessing

Triond Views: Hope for New Members

The way to get your article thousands of views, is putting a lot of effort into your work. By writing an article that is short and not that informational or interesting, can bring the value of your topic down. As a writer, you may not want to overwrite where an article can get boring. Also, take note of articles you have that do best in the first 24 hours of the day. If my article on a baseball team gets 8 views and my article ways to save energy gets 25, maybe write more about that topic that succeeds. Building a friendship on triond is probably the greatest part. If you read an article that you enjoy, add the author as a friend. By adding friends, they will view your articles.

My number one article http://www.gomestic.com/Personal-Finance/Five-Ways-to-Reduce-the-Amount-of-Electricity-We-Use-in-Our-Home.231201 has 1,700 views in 2 months so far and growing everyday. It expresses the importance of how to save energy and what to use and buy.

What I found out on triond is to keep writing articles and show all the effort I can find from myself inside. More “juicy facts” can be more enjoyable to read. My goal is to have an impact on someone else as they read my article or give chills to my viewer has they see my photos. Think of writing has a long time investment. After months of your content being on the internet, you will get views. Think about years from now. Your articles will be seen for years to come. Have hope!

How to Increase the Pagerank Value of Your Triond Articles

I have been writing for Triond for more than one year. In this long period, I've made sufficient money from my articles. However, none of my articles haven't been placed in the first pages of popular search engines, Yahoo, Google and Alltheweb for my keywords and tags. Last month, I joined a forum whose members are webmasters. While reading their advices and useful articles regarding increasing popularity of written works and blogs, I gained much information and experience. I read all about pagerank, seo and hit increasing. This is the whole list of the methods that webmasters use to get traffic and increasing the pr value of their pages.

Your Content Should Have a Good Title

Virtually every reader look at the title first and if it is attractive enough then he opens your webpage and goes on reading.

Your Content Should Be Written with Good Grammar

Grammar is the most important element of an article with the content itself together. A good grammar enables reading process. Using catchy words and avoiding complex and long sentences make the article clear and explicit.

Tagging

Tags are keywords related to your article. They are mostly the words in the content or general words describing it like travel, health and politics.

Now, you have a good article in hand but yet no visitor reading them. The first stage is being indexed by search engines. To do so, you should add your articles into other web pages which have already been indexed. Your indexing duration changes by depending on the pages you've added your link. Here is the ways of doing that.

Add Links to Social Bookmarking Sites

This is the most commonly used strategy by 90% of webmasters. Time for indexing changes depending on the site. Stumbleupon and Digg are the fastest ones. Mixx, Propeller, Sproose, Indianpad and Humsurfer are other alternatives. Checking the search engines for indexing process and recording the result may provide you useful information.

Pay attention to tagging while you're submitting your articles. Use general words and avoid very specific ones.

Add Your Sites to Directories

Directories are alternative to social sites. A group of similar contents are recorded in a specific titles in the directories. Most of the active directories demand fee for submitting, however there are still many free sites for submission. Check the search engines for “free directories and “free submission”.

Check the pr values of free directory which you submit your link. If the pr value of if is 0, it means nothing for you. Your article needs to be indexed by higher pr valued directories. Nevetheless,it is a backlink.

Add Your Links to RSS Feeds

Rss feeds are the best way of being indexed by search engines and getting backlinks. Add your rss feed link into popular rss services. My favourite one is Linkriver and Feedfury.

Use Your Links in Your Blogs

Blogs are effective in sending links. If you have a blog with similar contents in Triond, use the links of Triond articles inside it. Blogs are do-follow and search engines index it and evaluate it while calculating your pr value. Check the pr value of your blog first and if it is at least 2 or 3, then add your link into it.

The comment part of the blogs are usually no-follow and it has no effect on pr calculation. It is pointless for pr but it still works as backlink.

Use Your Links in Relevant Forums and Groups

Add the url of your link into signature part of forums. Join the forums and groups with the similar content. For example, if your article is travel related and being submitted in Trifter, then use your link in travel forums. Every comment with your signature showing the url is a backlink for you.

Check the pr value and visitor number of the forums prior to adding your url. Add yours to popular ones.

I hope that this article will help you somehow and be your mentor while impressing others.

Five Reasons Why You Shouldn't Write for Triond

Hold on just one second Triond members, before you rip me to shreds, please read on…

You would rather share your valuable information and experience with the world without proper recognition. Triond provides excellent author recognition for your work, along with an “about me” page, picture, and all of your work gathered in one place.

You would rather share your valuable opinions and information with the world for free. If you would rather post your work without any payment for it, Triond is not for you.

You would rather write about a specific topic that 30 other writers have already covered, in detail. If you want to be limited on the topics or creativity of your work, the Triond is definitely not for you. At Triond, you can pretty much write about whatever you would like, within their relaxed guidelines. Usually the most unique, extraordinary, interesting, or strange articles seem to do the best.

You are a loner and do not want other writer's comments, suggestions, and support. At Triond, other writers reach out to the new writers and help them understand and utilize Triond. If you don't like meeting new people and making new friends who are interested in writing or photography as well, please stay clear of Triond.

You don't want lots of people viewing your work. If you are a shy writer or photographer and would rather keep your work to yourself, please don't sign up with Triond. Your work could potentially reach thousands of people, and we don't want you to have an anxiety attack!

Hopefully, after reading this list, you have had a chuckle or two and decided to sign up with Triond. If you are already a member, keep up the great work!

Earn Cash From Keywords with Online Writing

If you write articles regularly for sites that pay you with a percentage of their advertising revenue - like
Helium.com
for example - are you maximizing the cash you could be earning?

If you're not paying attention to keywords, the chances are you're not earning as much as you could be.

Okay, so what exactly are keywords, and how on earth can they bring you more cash for your articles?

Let me explain.

Think about what happens when you search for a term or word in the search engines. They bring up relevant results based on the word or words you typed in. Fair enough. But how does this affect your article earnings?

Sites like Helium pay you according to how many times your article is read. The more people find it and read it, the more money you make. It's a straightforward and effective system, and it's earned me well over $100 on Helium so far.

But how do people find your articles in the first place?

Some will browse the site and come across them. Some will regularly read articles on a particular subject they're interested in. There may be people who like your work and read anything new you submit.

But you'll also get another group of people who find your article via search engine results. And the more you know and understand about using keywords and relevant search terms within your articles, the more hits you'll get… and the more money you'll make.

Every time you write a new article, think about its topic. What kind of terms would people type into a search engine if they were looking for information on this topic? The more of these you can legitimately incorporate into your article, the more likely you are to get hits directly from a search engine - and every one of those hits is worth money to you.

We're only talking in terms of cents here, of course, but if you write lots of articles and each one has relevant search terms and keywords in it, then you will notice a big difference in your cash flow.

Try it. You'll soon see a difference!

Earn Money by Writing $2 Articles for Websites

Is it really possible? Can you earn a reasonable second income writing short keyword articles for as little as $2 apiece - sometimes even less?

In reality it's a numbers game. Previously I never would have entertained the idea, but my 17 years worth of freelancing experience has made me pretty quick at writing, and the kind of articles we're talking about here are around 300 to 400 words in length. That's only a few paragraphs, and if you know your subject you can churn these out with the absolute minimum of research.

And if you do a little research yourself on this topic you'll soon find that there are loads of people out there who want lots of articles written for a low price per article. You'll often see figures of $1.50 to $3 being paid per article of around 300 words.

I wanted to try and bag more writing jobs online recently, so I made a real effort every evening to go online and search for some. I soon found there were plenty out there - it just depended on what kind of pay you wanted for your efforts.

There are two things these low paid article writing jobs have in common. Firstly, there are lots of them about, and secondly the person who is offering them almost always wants batches of articles - maybe twenty to fifty in a batch. So the pay might be low, but overall if you take on a batch of fifty articles you're looking at $100 in total for the job.

If you want to improve your writing "on the go" this is a great way to get quick fast! You'll soon learn how to write well the first time round, with minimal editing needed each time. The more subjects you write about, the more knowledge you'll gain. And it's a fantastic way to get lots of published writing under your belt, even if the finished articles aren't published under your name.

It will look good on any writing resume to say that you regularly write batches of articles for clients - it gives the impression you are quick, efficient and professional. In short, gaining experience this way can bag you bigger rewards later on.

I bagged my first job some ten days after beginning my nightly search, and even though my first article wasn't on a familiar subject to me, it was written in less than half an hour.

Try it yourself. A little research, perseverance and determination and you'll soon be writing batches of articles in record time… and earning some extra cash in the process.

Recipe for an Ezine: Final Words About Successful Ezines and Email Marketing

Like with any recipe, the ultimate results depend on many variables. In this series of articles, we've covered the basic 8 key ingredients necessary for marketing online with effective ezines:

A great name that defines the topic

A defined audience and clear purpose

A compelling headline or subject line

Valuable information readers can use

A call to action

A customized template or plain text formatting

A bonus incentive for subscribing

CAN-SPAM Compliance and a privacy statement

You will notice the first five ingredients refer to the actual content of the ezine; the last three elements refer to how it is delivered. Each element contributes to the overall effectiveness of a newsletter for growing your business.

With an ezine, the content is most crucial, and when you send valuable information your readers can use, you can't go wrong, or if you do, it is easily forgiven by your subscribers.

Send too many messages, or messages that don't benefit your readers, and they will at best delete, unsubscribe, or worse, report you for spamming them - even when they have opted in to your list! Even if you have a reader's permission, if you annoy them they will forget they signed up and declare you a spammer. It's not fair and it happens all the time. If you have opt-in proof you will extricate yourself, but you will still have to go through unnecessary hassles.

The only way you can ensure fewer email marketing woes is to segment your list and be sure you only send messages to those people who have indicated an interest in a certain group of products or information.

With an efficient database management system such as KickStartCart, you can keep your lists separated and pay attention to reader's interests. That is why it is so important to use a powerful database marketing system.

Finally, in our ongoing series of articles on each of the eight key ingredients for a successful ezine, we cover the laws governing using email for marketing.

Smart online marketers use “permission” marketing: you invite potential customers to join your email list, and offer a newsletter, a special report, or a sequential series of messages to form an e-course. The recipient “opts-in” to the list by replying to an invitation and subscribing. When your database system requires a confirmation of the subscription that is called a “double opt-in” confirmation. By "opting in", your subscriber is telling you it's OK to send email. They've given you permission and your email messages are not considered spam.

But most people don't really understand what constitutes spam. If you're in business for any length of time on the Internet, you may encounter false accusations of spam simply because people forget they opted in receive your message. To some people spam is simply any unwanted message.

This can cause problems for you with your email service provider. You should be able to prove that you haven't been sending unsolicited email. Your proof lies with the list management system you use that tracks invitations and opt in responses.

Here's what you need to know about the law is so you can rest assured that you aren't breaking it.

CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 (Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing Act) establishes requirements for those who send commercial email, spells out penalties for spammers and companies whose products are advertised in spam if they violate the law, and gives consumers the right to ask emailers to stop spamming them.

Simply put, here's a rundown of the law's main provisions:

• It bans false or misleading header information. Your email's "From," "To," and routing information must be accurate and identify the person who initiated the email.

• It prohibits deceptive subject lines. The subject line cannot mislead the recipient about the contents or subject matter of the message. Subject and content must match.

• It requires that your email give recipients an opt-out method. You must provide a return email address or an automated way for your subscriber to opt out. You must honor the requests. When you receive an opt-out request, the law gives you 10 business days to stop sending email to the requestor's email address.

• It requires that commercial email be identified as an advertisement and include the sender's valid physical postal address. Your message must contain clear and conspicuous notice that the message is an advertisement or solicitation and that the recipient can opt out of receiving more commercial email from you. It also must include your valid physical postal address.

One of the most efficient systems with a minimum of complaints is the ecommerce system, KickStartCart . They automatically include CAN-SPAM compliant features when they send out email broadcasts. Furthermore, if you import a list of email addresses into the system each recipient will be required to confirm they want to be on your list. All potential recipients must respond to a confirmation email in order to be included in an email list. This is called "closed loop" or "double opt-in" and is further assurance against people using the system to spam or send unsolicited messages.

While the respectable business community strives to be compliant, the spammers find new ways of circumventing the laws and jamming up email inboxes with junk. Unfortunately, spam filters never do a reliable job of keeping the spam out and are more likely than not to keep legitimate email from being delivered.

The best assurance against spam complaints is to use a reliable system such as KickStartCart, and to send out valuable relevant content to your subscribers. The ratio of information to promotional messages should be in the neighborhood of 80-20 or 75-25.

As a serious businessperson using the Internet and email, it's important you comply with the laws so you can avoid getting in hot water with your service provider and keep your subscribers happy.
