Triond’s Not What It Seems

Some of us may have stumbled upon this site while others may have been referred, but regardless many people think that this is the site to come to in order to post your writings, poems, stories, articles and possibly get money for it. Well, you’re right! But, Triond is so much more. It has become a community, a family, a place representing the genuine heart and interest of the writer. Yes, we may all want to get paid for that which we love the most, writing, but we get so much more here, don’t we?

We’ve gotten family and friends and possibly have attained a status of a writer within ourselves. My friends here on Triond and elsewhere, it is website like this that give us not our dreams but the ability to seek our dreams out and have them fulfilled. To the creators of Triond, I thank you and to the many here, I respect you and admire you. In summary, Triond is not what it seems at all, it is better, it is more, it is the door to our writing home.

Do We Pay Enough Attention of What We Read?

For most writers creating poetry comes initially from their need to express their own emotions and thoughts using decorative literacy style.

But is it all that? Using fancy words in order to describe something personal and yet something so common. The difference can come only from the ability of the author to find different shades in that mixture of emotions and his talent to express that in words.

In later stages the writers they can be motivated by their need to earn recognition or money. On that stage many could become quite frustrated by the fact that they have to compromise with themselves in order to be published .In this case they feel that they have to put the need of the readers on the first place and their own initial need on the second place.

Only experience can help the balancing point between these two to be found.

Is not a secret that authors which hire larger vocabulary are more likely to attract more readers, more likely to impress comparing with others who are not so rich in words. And in this competition what actually we are saying becomes second-place matter.

I have come across some poems which from the first line engage with the beauty of the expressions. Attracted to that and not able to overcome it, the readers easily can lose themselves in that jungle of attractive words .Many will not even ask themselves-is this author actually saying something new to me, which I don’t know or never thought about it. It is like a girl who dresses herself with fancy clothes all the time, but if you look carefully she is not more than that.

In that labyrinth from words, people do not realize, but often they can consume the distorted views of the author and adopt their wrong beliefs.

And this can especially can happen in case of attraction to a very engaging ,rich vocabulary because somehow people tend to trust the surface ,which I think is natural, but this does not mean that we should stop paying attention to the content too.

Four Ways to Increase Your Triond Earnings

Most of the people who hear about Triond come here to make money. A lot of the older members realise after a short while that the best part about Triond isn't making money, it's the joy of writing, be it poems, stories, reviews or opinions. For some though, money will always be their main desire, while for the others it is nice to receive some cash from their work. If you're looking for some great ways to increase your Triond earnings, all you need to do are follow these steps.

New Content

This is particularly important if you're writing current news style topics. For example, while an article on Barack Obama or John McCain might be big news now, after the election the views on those articles will drop significantly (more than likely), especially if the person who the article is about lost the election. If you're going to write about current events, make sure you write new ones regularly. Even if you're not writing current news articles, having more articles will invariably mean that you'll earn more cash. It's far easier to get a lot of views spread over dozens of articles than it is to get them all focused on one article!

Accurate Keywords

Accurate Keywords are a must if you're looking to earn more cash on Triond. If you have good, accurate, targeted keywords, you will get a lot more visitors. A great way to find out effective keywords is to go to your Triond Dashboard and scroll down until you hit the Hot Tag section. If you can incorporate a few of them into your article, odds are that you will get more views. Also make sure to add as many keywords as you can, as the more you have, the more likely they are to be searched.

Make Friends

If you make a lot of friends on Triond, they will know about your new content. Not only will this help to spread your popularity, it will also get you more views and a lot of advice or suggestions from your friends. They can advise you on how to improve your articles, which article type you should focus on and which you should perhaps abandon. They can also help spread the word about your article if they like it, and they make the whole experience of being a Triond member even more enjoyable too.

Read Your Comments

If people are commenting on your articles, you should definitely read them. Read the good and the bad. Most people will ignore the bad comments on their articles, but if the article is giving constructive criticism, it can help you to write much better articles in the future. Better articles will undoubtedly mean more people will read them and then spread the word, which will improve your viewership and your earnings. Remember, good articles equal good cash!

Words From the Heart

Writing has to come from the heart. I don't know where I got this idea from but I feel it anytime I pick a pen as I write some piece of poetry down. I feel the words flowing from my heart, to my arms then to my fingers and finally on the paper.

Most times I write the emotions that I am feeling that day; I write happy things when I am feeling luck and on top of the world and I write love when I feel like the only person that has discovered what it is to really be in love. Let's not talk about those days that I feel sad or angry or just plain blue (I try hard not to show what I have written).

Writing poems for me is all about love and laughter and tears and fears and fairy tales that you dream about at night that you most put to paper and share with the rest of the world.

An Absolutely Legitimate, Free and Fun Way to Make Money Online

There are a few ways out there to make money online. I found a few sites that were legitimate--you won’t get rich quick like others promise, but you will make a little extra spending money. For stay at home moms (like me) it helps when you want to take the kids for a little treat once in a while. I will share with you what I know--for free!

A lot of places promise that you will get rich quick. You fill out all this information about yourself just to get to the end of the registration and find out that you either have to sign up for some kind of magazine subscription or you have to pay for a list. Just a little heads up-- after you pay, you will get a list, but it is usually outdated so it does you no good. Then there is the mystery shopper job. I still haven’t found a site for this where you don’t have to pay for a list. I think the safest thing to do is probably to call the company you want to work for and ask them if they hire mystery shoppers. I really don't know how to get a job doing this, but I have looked hard to find one! If I do, I will let everyone out there know and I won't charge! I think it's so unfair how people do that!

Anyway, those are things I have found that don’t work. Then, I was looking on craigslist one day and saw for my state where you can look up writing jobs. They directed me to a site called print and post. There I found out that you can write blogs, stories, poems or just upload pictures--anything you want as long as it is your own work. I’m sure they probably don’t want really offensive things either, but you can check (not that I expect anyone wants to be offensive). From there I was directed to Triond where I opened an account. I have uploaded pictures and researched some things then I wrote a little research story about it. If you have a computer, you can research anything! And you can upload pictures as long as there is no copyright on it. And please, don't write things word for word when you find information. That is stealing someone else's work! After you write your piece and fix it just the way you want, you upload it to Triond. From there, they will publish it on the web for you. They made it so easy to do!

After your blog, picture, etc is published, companies will put their advertisements on it for people to see when they click on it. Make your piece interesting so more people will go to it. The more people who click on your site, the more you will make. Now you won’t get rich from it, but like I said you will make a little extra spending money. And the more you get published, the more you will make. You get paid once a month and it's fun to keep track of how much you are making and how many people visit your site.

Another free way to make money online without any upfront costs is to view paid emails. There is a site that I have found called Hits4Pay. They will pay you ten dollars to sign on and then for every email you read, you get paid two cents. Now you won't get rich quick, but those two cents begin adding up and you can earn a little extra spending money in time. If you have lots of friends, you can refer them to this site and earn when they view emails too. This can really add up fast! To get to that site, simply click on this link: http://hits4pay.com/members/index.cgi?SueB

As I find other sites to help you earn money while you are at home with your kids, during your free time, or even as an easy part time job, I will let you know. I update this site often to keep it fresh, so check back! I will never put a site on here that costs money or that I haven't joined and know is safe. It takes a while because there are so many "tricks" out there, but they are out there to be found--and they are FREE!

Go ahead and try it--it’s absolutely free and it’s really fun! Good luck and God bless!

Secrets

Since the writing of poetry is so varied, I can only touch on some of the things that encompass composing poems.

As events happen to me, I write down as if I am journaling, however I select words that rhyme at the end of each sentenance making the words swing. Personal thoughts of happiness are my favorite topics especially times of great involvement of myself or someone very close to me. Feelings seem to engulf my messages ,profoundly, as I expand on my subject material. Most of the poems are quite serious even though I have occassionally written very light hearted pieces.

It is my practice to keep a piece of paper and a pen handy at my bedside so when I ponder an area I wish to jot down words using in some way, I don't have to wait until morning when perhaps I forgot them. After I have successfully considered the content, I put a title on my work. I rarely begin with the title first.

All around me, everyday, there seems to be something of interest for me to write about. There does not appear to be "dry" times for me often. Without much concentration, I have the flow of words to share on paper.

My objective is to give to others, so these poems are enjoyed by other than myself alone. Some are wonderful, while others are fair. My highly personal thoughts are never shared while I am living unless I choose to do so with selected people in my life. Those selected secrets might be viewed after I pass away and then enjoyed by more than just myself.

As a child, I recall liking rhyming words, so maybe this composing has been developing for 40 years or more. I do consider it a gift from God that I can bring forth my inner most ideas in this way. I am most thankful for this over the years even though I have not published any of my collection prior to 2005. Boasting is not in the mix for sharing , only giving my gift so it can be enjoyed with others.

Poetry for Poets and Non Poets

During class many of my friends tend to think that poetry is girly-girl stuff; Full of kissing and mushy mush. Poetry in-fact is a very popular form of writing whether for romance or for… even sports! Any one can write and I am going to tell you some secrets on how cool poetry can be.

One thing I absolutely love about poetry is that you can write about anything or anyone and be a vague as you want. You could write a poem about how much you love this girl or hate this teacher. There is no need to use the names of the person you are writing about because the beauty of poetry is it is from the heart and anyone can connect to it.

For those tough guys out there that think the poetry is for softies or girls.

I agree with you on some terms. Lovey-dovey poems … not my thing and they do not have to be! Like I said before you….can write poems about anything. Whether it is how hard you decked that guy in football or caught the winning catch. Everyone has poetry in them whether they know it or not.

I am a very athletic boy, 14 years old at the moment. My life is full of school, girls, swimming and water-polo. I have a hectic schedule and use sports as a drive for my emotions. But from my experiences writing about the sport you do really make you appreciates it much more.

Poetry is an endless connection to your soul. You hear it in rap and rock and roll. I am not saying that you will become the next “slim shady.” You can write at any time without any waiting. Poetry is a game of mind and wonder. So grab a pen and pad and roll out your thunder. You don't have to tell your friends at school. It doesn't have to be in your click or cool. Just sit, relax, clear your mind and wait. You know a bazillion words now concentrate. You scored the goal your girlfriend is hot, you mom always screaming you like your about to get shot. Time seems too really get slow, a Boom a Bang as you hand begins to fiddle. You look around to see who is there. A friend, a teacher oh well who cares. Your thoughts begin to process and your hand moves quick. You begin to form a beat… that's the trick. You end up making a line or two. Poetry can be fun for me and you. It is your turn now… toodle-loo.

Helping a Child Write a Mother's Day Poem

This guide covers how to help a child write a simple personalized Mother's Day Poem based on a few descriptive words.

What we're going to cover is how to write a short and simple poem format called a Cinquain.

While Cinquains come in various formats, we will do a play on a "True Ciquain" with a minor tweak.

The guidelines to the actual format would look something like this. . .

"True Cinquain"

Line 1: 1 word title (noun) 2 syllables

Line 2: 2 descriptive words (adjectives) 4 syllables

Line 3: 3 words that express action 6 syllables

Line 4: 4 words that express feeling 8 syllables

Line 5: 1 word (synonyms or reference to title in line 1) 2 syllables

To be easy and flexible in helping most age groups write this, make it simple and forget the syllable counting; as a younger age group may not yet grasp the concept of separating the number of syllables in a word. Of course if you wish to follow the syllables, go for it!

So an example of the rule set (without following syllables) could be. . .

Mom
Kind, Sweet
Loving, Caring, Joyful
Happy, Warm, Comfortable, Safe
Love

While being descriptive with some word choices may be challenging for a child, you can help them by making Line 1: "Mom" by default and asking simple questions for Lines 2-5. Example: Line 4: How does Mom make you feel?. . .Happy? Comfortable? etc.

Short and sweet. The joys of poetry is that in all reality, anything goes providing it makes sense to your target audience.

The Prologue

The prologue, critics, note to the text, among others, give us the notion of what we are about to read. It's like in the movies. Before seeing a movie usually we watch the previews, then we want to see the movie. It's really important to take the time to read the prologues, because later, when you're reading the main theme, you're gonna understand much more easily than if only reading the main theme, because experts give us the meanings of so many complex things that are written by the author (in some of the cases).

Even if you were an enthusiastic reader, because these writers had studied the book that they're talking about many times, upside down, and even backwards. So they know what they're talking about, taking hours of rest to work on their critic just for us, so the least we can do is take the time and read the content, when you finish reading the prologue, you're gonna be more excited and anxious to read the main content.

In a good prologue, (cause we've gotta admit there are bad prologues and not so good prologues), we learn more about the book than if reading the book itself, because the explanations are accurate, so we can understand clearly, You don't only learn about what you're going to read, but also you'll learn more about good books and authors to read, it's like if the writer gives you a summary of some good books to read.

To finish, it's very important to read the prologues, because you never know, maybe you could be a critic some day and you'll want other person to take the time to read the work that has cost you somnolent night, effort and many hours of reading... Keep these words in mind.
