There are terms like writing block or writer's block which are used to describe the situation of a writer being unable to write from a long period. You may have learned many skills to write well. Such as writing faster or typing faster, thinking effectively, reading a lot of material and doing the due research need to write your article. But you end up not doing any of these in an organized fashion that you always wish to do to bring a positive difference in your life/career.
Short-lived tips for motivation
Sometimes you might find tips for motivation and start applying in your writing. You will succeed for sure. But it will be short lived. The reason is that the tips you got may be just quick fixes and are not curing the problem deep within you.
The solution at the perception level
This situation is similar to any other problem we face in our life which we are unable to solve for a long period of time. This type of problems should not be overlooked but the key to solution is in finding the root of the problem. When it comes to writing we may need to change the perception that we have upon writing as some kind of hard work to an activity for fun and pleasure. This can be done by understanding the basic fact that the writing is a form of communication very similar to speech that we do daily with other people. If you identify the correct audience for your writing then it simply becomes a matter of putting down your thoughts and ideas as if you were talking to them. I have applied the same thing as I am writing this article.
