Write an Article in Four Simple Steps

Four simple steps that aid you in composing a successful article.

Many writers suffer from writers block or find it hard to write a complete article. I found that the best way to write an article is to begin with an outline. The following are steps you may take to write a successful article.

Step 1

Choose a topic. What are you writing about? What do you know about this topic? Is it interesting? Ask yourself these questions and decided if your article topic is worth your time. If it isn't, move on to another topic.

Step 2

Come up with a title. This step is extremely important. Write a title that will compel your reader's interest and will make them click through to your article. Failing to write a proper title will decrease your article's views.

Here are several suggestions for article titles:

  • Top 10 Ways to ______
  • 10 Easy Steps to ______
  • How to ______
  • 10 Best Ways to ______
  • What you didn't know about ______

Step 3

Discover your subtitles. Divide your article into subtitles for simpler reading. Use informative subtitles to inform the reader on what he will read in the section.

Step 4

Write the first sentence for each of your subtitles. This is so you don't get stuck. The hardest thing to do when doing anything is to get started. By doing it now, you will prevent a possible writer's block.

After taking these 4 steps you know what your subject is and, more precisely, your sub-topics. Now you know exactly what to write and won't ever get stuck again.
