Pre-writing Activities Regarding Topics by Writers

This displays techniques to assist writers with the topic of their paper they are writing.

How can you narrow your topic to a single spoke or to a sub-header of a spoke on the map?

A new way to international trade will encompass the pros and cons of offshore jobs. It will outline the beginning of the debate to offshore or to keep the needed jobs in the United States as they are at present. It will start the opinion of the challenge at hand, and the facts involved will enter after I make my stand on the subject.

Although I can narrow my topic I still will need to include all of the ideas and spokes as they are all part of the picture I am attempting to paint for the audience. The audience needs to evaluate their own ideas on offshore trade and the influences long term it will have on the employed in the United States.

How does this type of pre-writing activity prepare you for outlining?

It assists me in brainstorming my focus on the many ideas involved in the subject. It helps me to grab the concepts that are within the main idea or focus relatively speaking.

Gathering my thoughts and pinpointing the potential direction I wish to express to my audience takes time and intense thinking on my part. It encourages me to go the gathered data and rethink my strategy of the subject at hand.

The pros and cons vary as do the ideas of politicians and statistical outcomes of outsourcing jobs to foreign countries.
