How to Write a Good Essay

Follow and read the following to learn how to write a good essay in only minutes.

Writing a good essay is not hard at all. In our society we write essays all the time, which include; school, home, and businesses. As we all know that an essay consists of a introduction, body, and a conclusion paragraph. Read the following below to learn the structure of an essay more specifically.

An essay consists of an introduction to begin with. The most important part of the essay is the thesis sentence. The thesis sentence is located anywhere from between the introduction sentence and the conclusion sentence of your introduction paragraph. The thesis sentence is the sentence that should "catch the readers eye" or persuade he or she to read your essay. The thesis sentence basically summarizes the whole essay. The introduction essay usually does not contain any facts or information about your essay, it is mostly about persuasion.

A body paragraph is the paragraph where you give the reader the facts and information. You must at least have 1 body paragraphs. One body paragraph should only cover a certain kind of information. When you are about to go off topic start another body paragraph. There is never a limit for body paragraphs.

There are many types of essays. There are times when you should and should not use some words, for example the pronoun "I". This pronoun should be only used on essays that reflect off of your opinions and should never be used on documentary or factual essays. Documentary essays should be concentrated on a specific document and should be used by your own knowledge on the document. Factual essays should be knowledge you brought by many other resources. You should not copy word for word a sentence that another person used, it is also called plagiarism. When you take another persons idea and reword it into your own sentence it is very important that you cite the person's idea by putting the author's name or title of the work in parenthesis after your sentence.

Finally the conclusion paragraph. The conclusion sentence should never contain new information. If the conclusion contains any kind of new information it is not consider a conclusion sentence. It is a paragraph that summarizes all of you information.
