Why I Wanna Surpass Nelson Doyle

Want to become one of Triond's top writers and make history in the world of content publishing? Well, here are some insights that will surely help get you there.

Before I go on writing this article (and before you readers from Triond hate on me), I just want to emphasize that there is only one Nelson Doyle, and that this article is not an effort to discredit any writer from Triond, and to foster any sort of friction between writers. I merely entitled this post this way for the purpose of illustrating a very valuable point - an idea and mindset that will help all Triond writers achieve their financial goals and dreams through content publishing.

That being said, let me begin.

Since I was a kid, I often sized up and "judged" certain industries and fields of interest by the nature of its key figure and dominant personality. Let me explain. When I began to appreciate the game of basketball way back in the 90's, I often looked at the game's key personality figure - Michael Jordan. On the basis of how Jordan performs and leads his team, I came to understand just what basketball is like and what an ideal basketball player should be. The same with golf, everything seems to rotate on a single iron rod - and that is Tiger Woods. The same with billiards - Efren Reyes (who happened to come from the same country I came from) became the object of my admiration for the game of billiards. Everything that the dominant key person says or does immediately becomes of utmost importance because, to the likeminded people around him (or her), he is an inspiration, a piece of the rock, an epitome, a representative for the whole.

Then during the first quarter of the year 2008, I came across the Triond website and became excited with the possibility of sharing content and earning from it at the same time. I realized that, just like other careers and sciences, content publishing demands hard work, discipline and perseverance. Just as I have usually done, I looked for several key personality figures in Triond that might be a source of inspiration to me. There are so many talented writers and content producers, and Nelson Doyle is definitely one of them. So I read his articles, see what I could learn...and seeing of how succesful he is at content publishing, my faith and my belief in what I'm doing increased. The thought of seeing people out there who have already "been there, done that" is enough inspiration to us that Triond is a viable income source and it can be done!

So what does this tell us? Well, here's what I'm telling you in a nutshell: "It's better to shoot for the moon and hit only the top of the Empire State building". The key figure or dominant personality in your chosen field of interest should be an inspiration to you. It is not a bad goal to become like him or her, and even surpass his or her success. You may not reach that goal, but by aiming high, you set higher standards for yourself. In the process of achieving your dreams and looking up to the key personality figure as an insipiration, it is also important for you not to lose your own identity. Don't just imitate others, but instead become YOU. I am not Nelson Doyle and the other top Triond writers, but I can be Verniel Cutar. I can be me. I can reach my Triond goals. Other people are already experiencing great results and are making history in the industry of content publishing. I wanna become one of them and to surpass them if possible. I wanna be the best that I could be....That should be every Triond writer's attitude! Tell yourself that you can reach your goals. You can make it big. Keep on writing articles. Keep on sharing useful content. Keep on entertaining people and giving them what they want...and be the best Triond writer you can possibly become.

And to all the top Triond writers, thanks for being an inspiration to us all. Keep on doing what you do, and may you have more success in content publishing.

Hi Verniel Cutar,

Thank you for the kind words, but I do not consider myself a great writer, but just someone who enjoys this line of work. RJ Evans, nobert soloria bermosa, CHAN LEE PENG and others awesome talents here on Triond are who I lookup to and others should consider these writers as well.

I am in the process of testing new writing techniques for the rest of this month, so I suspect that my name on the front page will shrink as it always has done every time I pursue my testing. I am still trying to figure out what type of writer do I want to be and so writing about many different things and using different writing techniques is all part of the process for me.

I hope that you do meet or exceed my success as a content writer, because as long as I can continue to write and make a living doing so, then I will continue to press forward the way that I have been doing. Slow and steady is the best way to go for me.

God Bless,

Nelson Doyle

You made some excellent points about learning from others who are achieving success.

I agree with Athlyn and I certainly wish you all the best. I hope you take off like a house afire.

I admire your ambition. While I love writing, I am not quite as competitive. I am extremely impressed with much of the talent I find at Triond, and the wonderful thing about writing in the comfort of Triond is the growth potential.

Verniel, as you flex your "writing" muscles I am sure you will surpass your wildest dreams.

Take care.

I read this article wondering how much Nelson would squirm in embarassment at being put on such a pedastal - not too much thankfully from his reply. It\'s good to see such aspiration on Triond, Verniel - and such optimism.

I must say I admire the \"keep it real\" attitude you have. I have sometimes lost my grip a little on that in the pursuit of the holy cow of Triond, the click thru! However, I seem to be getting my groove back a little this last week or two!

I must say, tho, that it is strange what people want to read. I can take hours writing something and it will get very few hits. A month or two ago I knocked up an article about flash animation in less than an hour, featuring sites I regularly haunt (the right word, believe me!) and it knocked up a huge amount of hits in a few days.

That was a lesson for me in many ways - quality and quantiy do not always go together when it comes to on line writing.

I ams till fairly new to this kind of writing - December 2007 was when I joined Triond. I think as the community grows and we share thoughts and ideas, there will be some great evolutionary leaps taking place here!

Thanks for the article - and keep on writing!

Best regards

RJ

nah..RJ..I didn't place Nelson Doyle on a pedestal. It could have been any prolific Triond writer. It could have been you or anyone. I was doing this for illustrative purposes, as you see.

Well, yeah I read that flash animation article you wrote. It's in the hot content list for many decades consecutively..lol. :-)

For me, the important thing is to write about things that you are passionate about...and the other half is write about things that a great fraction of readers would love.

Self promotion is another thing. When your name becomes a brand name on any website or forum or social networking site, I notice that people generally read any new content that you post, just because they have developed a familiarity with you. In short, they like you.

Other writers, why not leave tips for other Triond writers? If you post it here, it could benefit a lot of people.

Have fun!

Really, you can make a living from Triond? You all must work very hard or have a lot of savvy in writing "connecting" pieces and then getting noticed. . . Awesome work! Best wishes in your pursuit of giving it your all. Verniel, your profile is definitely saturated with a thirst to write, so I believe you will achieve your goals with that kind of passion.

I look forward to seeing your name on the hot users list Verniel. You shoot from the hip with your words and I enjoy your style. I want to be a Louie Jerome, she finds the unusual and turns it into a fascinating read. Keep up the good work.

I find by reading other people's articles, such as this one, I learn new things every time..

It was a fluke that got my name on Hot Users list, a link I wrote months ago went hot, then sunk.. that sucked..
its great being on top, but often when you are there, people want to knock you off. You will find supportive people, and negative ones... Be supportive of others, and dont view anyone as an enemy or competition. I dont think you are - from the spirit of this article you clearly have good wishes for everyone. Interstingly when we support each other we direct traffic back to ourselves too.

I would love to make a living doing this, but am a long way off. Good luck passing Nelson. THen I will write one about wanting to pass you.
#12 by Verniel Cutar, Aug 9, 2008
well, B Nelson and Mark Gordon, you need to tell that to Chan Lee Peng and RJ Evans! They're Triond giants too...lol

I dont view anyone as competition..especially here on Triond. You'll be better off helping other people than repelling them in this kind of community.

Great article and well said. I am still learning what the readers want on Triond. I am like RJ in that sense. I would spend days writing an article that in my eyes was a great success, and then nothing.

The silly articles I just threw together got more hits. It's mind boggling.
