Secrets to Success as a Triond Writer

(contd.)

Tags are also vital to getting page views on Triond. Consider your subject matter and its intended website when choosing tags for your Triond article. For example, when choosing tags for a recent travel article intended for Trifter, I went to Trifter.com and checked out the hot tags on the site. I saw tags like travel, vacation, so those are the tags I ended up using for my article (and it's been getting some decent page views!)

Find Your Niche and Develop a Following on Triond

I've noticed that certain articles fare better than others on Triond. The most popular Triond articles usually contain very catchy, attention getting titles. Lists are hot on Triond, such as Top Ten or Ten Best. Triond articles that do well can be silly, sensational, bizarre, intriguing or in some way quite unique and interesting, and these stories hook the attention of a large group of readers.

Don't give up on Triond if these kinds of articles just aren't your forte. If you have a specialty, you can still develop a following on Triond just by writing what you know. If your writing is good, you use keywords and tags effectively, and you have a passion for your subject matter, readers will find you on Triond. For example, I noticed that there aren't tons of articles on Trifter about New York, or travel in the Hudson Valley (one of my writing specialties.) By writing on this topic, those who really want to read about travel in New York State will find my Triond articles on Trifter, and I could possibly become the go-to writer for this niche (building popularity and page views.)

Be Patient and Keep Adding Content to Triond

One of the most important keys to success on Triond is a slow and steady approach. Be patient if you don't make a lot of money at first on Triond. The power of writing for Triond is the slow accumulation of page views as days on the site turn into months, then years. Keep regularly adding content to Triond, and try to set goals for how many articles you'd like to write per month and how much you'd like to earn.

Don't sacrifice quality for quantity when writing for Triond. Make sure you are pleased with everything you publish on Triond, and always do your best. Remember to proofread and check your Triond articles for errors, so your Triond library of published work is of the highest quality.

I believe that the rewards of being a Triond writer are great and are not just measured in financial gain. Writing for Triond means being part of a lovely supportive creative community while you continue to build a reputation and a portfolio as a writer. I believe that by following a few simple tips, it is possible to achieve success as a Triond writer, and have a great time doing it. Good luck writing for Triond!

Great Article.

A real inspiration to us newbies. I have made it to the hot user list and hot topic list in 2 weeks. However, I have been building my friends list and really enjoy speaking with other Triond users. It does work.

Thank you. I found this as a link from your article "Make Everything You Publish Count" in Stumble Upon. I needed this. Last night I was feeling hopeless, I am doing everything I can to get page views. I had blogged them almost everywhere but it seem like no one likes my content. I am not an article writer. I only write some fiction stories and some poems. I have good friends here in Triond, but I feel like their just doing some 'charity page views' for my work. Oh! enough with this. I feel so pathetic, I'm sorry I have to use my other user name.

Anyway thank you again for giving me hope. I won't try to be an article writer anymore cause I don't want to. I'll stick with my stories. When I dreamed about being a writer, I said to myself I'll do it for free, as long as I have an audience.
Heck! I think I can still wait for them! Pray that they find me. :)

Hey, I'm new on Triond... and I didn't get the friend/fan thing straight... and there was your article!

I read your article for the first time about a month ago while I was wondering why the money just wasn't adding up. Then I joined the community, started receiving very pleasant messages, and people started reading my articles. I also use facebook to promote my writing to users outside of the triond community.

Thanks to the "hot content" cloud I've been coming up with decent article ideas all the time.

Thanks for your article--it helped a great deal!

I'm so glad that this article helped! ursula, those are great ideas about using the hot content cloud and promoting on facebook. I'm not on facebook right now, but I am on stumbleupon using the same name "allisonwest." I think stumbleupon is a great tool for triond users.
Alexx29, it can take time to build a following here. for some it can happen quickly, for others it's a slower process. just because you aren't racking up massive page views right now doesn't mean your writing isn't good. have faith, and believe in your self and your work!
I find that just about the time you are ready to turn in the towel here, things can turn around. if you have interest in doing some article writing, my advice is to build up a library of articles here, that can produce page views over time. read and comment on others stories you enjoy, and others will find your work too. like I said, try stumbleupon, and digg and delicious, and other social bookmarking sites, that will help a lot!
my best to you and keep writing!
best wishes,
Allison

Great article. I have only made 15 cents so far but maybe it's because I only have 4 friends. I am on Digg but no-one ever reads my articles there. I hope to make up a good amount of money over a long period and so I will take these tips on board.
