For everyone that thinks that you get a certain amount of money per page view I am sorry to say but you are wrong. Triond uses a formula to figure out how much money you have made. It will change from time to time so sometimes 30 views will make you 2 cents and other times it might make you 7 cents.
How to Get Lots of Page Views
Some articles get read more than others because the topic of the article is popular and/or the writer of the article is popular. You will often get a lot more page views when you item is under Hot Content. Your item has to be in the top ten most viewed to be under the Hot Content.
It helps if you advertise your article on a blog or leave the URL on a comment on other peoples work. You can also send the URL to people you know but don't send it to them if they are no interested in the topic.
After you have advertised your article look at you page views every few hours and record how much they have gone up. Do this for every article and then see what topic or type of article generates the most page views and write a few articles simular to it but not to simular because it won't get published.
It also helps if you have lots of people who are your fans because your new articles will show up in their Friends News tab. If they are a good fan they will look at the article. Also if you are friends will a Hot User you might show up in their Friends list on their profile if you are new enough. This helps because then people viewing that profile might click on yours and view your work.
Articles That Might Help You
There are lots of articles out there that give you advice on how to write articles and generate pages views and I reckon that the more of them that you read the better at writing you will become. Read as many articles as you can as it will give you ideas and help you with your writing and in the end it will make you a better writer.
Don't be stressed if you are finding that your articles aren't getting that many views because eventually you will right an article and it will end up under the Hot Content.
For 1 month after I signed up 1 article had 158 views and then I wrote an article that generated 194 views in 7 hours and was under the Hot Content Tab. I was shocked when this happened and I had this weird feeling and I had loads of energy.
Resist the urge to write articles that are simular to one under the Hot Content tab because more than 50% of the time that will get declined for being to simular to other articles. I know this because I have tried.
Always remember not to feel bad if your article has low page views because sooner or later you will have a popular article.
