You have done the research, set up a keyword oriented site and you wait. Nothing much seems to be happening at first, and the more you keep checking whatever website statistics program you have downloaded just for this purpose, the more it begins to dawn on you how wrong you were about getting traffic to your website.
For what happened when your articles/content on those other websites were receiving all that traffic is, you were fooled. Fooled into thinking that if you went out on your own, with your own website online, that you would, without a doubt draw some traffic.
Wrong.
This might happen if you are some big name celebrity. But if you are not, the visitors who might accidentally land on your brand new site might be wondering, who is this? Visitors, just like customers who frequent one's place of business, are hard to come by.
And when you get them you are happy and filled with gratitude. Having your own website is a great concept. But sometimes whether you do all the things you are supposed to do to draw traffic, keywords included, and nothing seems to be happening, be a little patient.
Nothing happens overnight. Well, winning the lottery might, if you win, or if your rich uncle dies and leaves you a generous inheritance. But getting visitors to your website, is not as easy as it sounds at all.
You have to keep at it. Keep adding those articles/content, and before you know it, you will have some visitors who will keep returning to read your unique content. It's all just a matter of time.
